"All in all, it wasn't a bad stay. Getting into the hotel was a little challenging because of the traffic pattern, but I caught on quickly. The AC in the room didn't work. The bed was a little softer than I like but it was plenty comfortable. The water pressure was very good. The water temperature was adequate. Took a little bit for hot water, but still good. The toiletries were very nice. Worked well and smelled great. The best part of the hotel was the staff! They were absolutely exceptional. Would stay again."

"Clean rooms. Breakfast was decent in terms of “breakfast included”, the menu was the same for 7 days. They were actively improving the landscaping around the hotel grounds.Friendly check in. Had included car charging which was a great added bonus. Close to the highway but not a lot of noise. Great area. I would highly recommend this hotel."

"I am absolutely furious with my recent stay at the Courtyard by Marriott San Diego (Bernardo Plaza Court). I am pregnant and was given a room with a completely broken air conditioner. The room was unbearably hot and stuffy, making it impossible to sleep or rest comfortably — something critically important during pregnancy. When I reported the issue right away, front desk staff showed zero empathy and simply handed me a cheap box fan as a “solution.” They claimed the hotel was fully booked and offered no room change, no real fix, and no meaningful assistance. A pathetic box fan did almost nothing to combat the heat, leaving me to suffer through a miserable, sweaty night that felt potentially harmful to my health. This is completely unacceptable for a Marriott property. Basic expectations like working AC were ignored, and their response was indifferent and unprofessional. I paid for a comfortable room and received none of that. I strongly advise pregnant travelers and anyone expecting reliable amenities to avoid this hotel. Management needs to do better — this experience was disgraceful"
