Nice place and close to some tourist sites and restaurants. Staff was sup friendly and inviting. Room was small, but clean - best for if you just need somewhere to crash. Overall, i had a great experience

Despite a communication error on the part of Expedia, the staff at the hostel made an exceptional effort to make room for us when we arrived. The building is amazing, and so filled with history; the breakfast was great, and the staff were just wonderful! If you’re a light sleeper, remember your ear plugs to block out the creaky floors that add dearly to the charm of the hall.

I find it very difficult to review this. The staff were absolutely lovely as were the other guests. However, I felt very misled by the advertising. It was extremely noisy (I was woken at 4 am by footsteps above my room and as the people upstairs were dancers, I cannot think anything except it has zero sound insulation). I also didn’t realize it would not provide towels. I paid £95 and then was expected to pay £2 for a towel. Breakfast included was rice crispies or oats. Completely misleading...

Pretty cool place if you’re looking for somewhere affordable for a night or longer. The staff were great, and the place had vibe. My only suggestion is for guests to clean up after themselves, especially in the communal kitchen. Other than that, I had a good stay and would definitely recommend it.
