Not Sheraton Standards

I stayed at this hotel due to the fact that there were no hotels left in Denver. I have stayed at the Sheraton in DFW and have been very pleased. Unfortunately, this was not the case for this hotel. The lobby is very beautiful but that's about it. I was put in a room on the fourth floor. As soon as the doors opened the floor smelled awful. It was as if they had tried to overcompensate the smell by spraying cleaning supplies in the entire floor. My room was a standard room with two queen beds. There is a long hallway inside the room which is useless. The beds were comfortable and it had a decent view. The bathroom reminds me of my dorm bathroom from College. It was tiny, outdated, and very uncomfortable. The shower makes an awful noise, the water temperature is unreliable, and the shower is extremely tiny. I'm petite and just above five foot and had a hard time being able to shower without hitting the wall. Then when I tried to sleep the heater makes noise similar to a broken car. The worst part is that the building is old so it has poor insulation. I turned off the heater at night so I could sleep and the room dropped 20 degrees overnight. All in all, the room was not worth over spending over $200. I would not recommend it. Perhaps all the good reviews came from a floor other than the fourth floor.
