We absolutely loved this house. The highlight was watching the meteor showers from the hot tub on the deck. That will be a lifetime memory. Such a comfortable house with gorgeous views. Rebecca was a great host as well.

We really enjoyed our weekend in Idaho Springs. The property was well-maintained and the owner was very responsive as well to any questions. We enjoyed the privacy and the great view from the deck. The master bed was extremely comfortable and the woodstove was more than adequate in the fall to make things cozy. I'd love to come back for a longer stay next time.

This house is amazing and Rebecca is super nice. I couldn't have imagined a better place to stay in the Rockies. The house is in the perfect location so that you have privacy and get to appreciate nature, but is also a 15 min drive to town. I absolutely cannot wait to come back. I still dream about that house!

Our family spent Spring Break in Evergreen and this house was the perfect place to stay. We had plenty of room for our family of eight. We enjoyed the snow and the beautiful views from every room in this house! Rebecca was very easy to communicate with and prompt in her responses to emails/ phone calls from our first inquiry on booking the house and all the way through our stay. We had a great time!

Our stay was fantastic. We only left for one day because of weather but I'm convinced even if the weather were better we still wouldn't have gone out much anyways. What a beautiful view while you sit by a warm fire with friends. We would love to stay again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing time in the secluded mountains of Colorado.

10/10

Check in was a breeze. Ample kitchen and living space. Heated the whole house with a wood burning stove over electric heat at owners request and at no additional cost. Big plus. Who doesn't like to sit back and enjoy a fire. Outdoor hot tub with incredible views was very nice. Am planning on staying again. Great place to disconnect and get away from it all (But yes, there is WiFi if you want it).

My husband planned a weekend getaway for us and we booked this house. First of all... Saddleback mountain is beautiful. Great location and breathtaking views. This house is a good home base to some great towns. Has a great master suite with afternoon views of the many deer in the back. We saw a red tail fox every day.. the last day he walked across the driveway like he was saying goodbye. The Hot tub was great, sitting in the hot tub watching the snow flakes fall. The fire kept the house sooo cozy. The owners were there on arrival as they had been there all morning making sure the fire got the house warm for us. The kitchen had everything we needed and all the amenities of home. This is why my husband and I only stay at VRBO's during our travels. its the ONLY way to go. Thank you for making your home available to us.. we were like little kids running around the yard appreciating all the snow flakes!

Upon arriving to this property, we encountered several empty beer cans in the drive way that we ended up picking up. The house hadn't been dusted in a while and there were spider webs in the main living room. The dishwasher was full of dishes from the previous renters that we had to put away. The hot tub was very un clean, we had to skim it before getting in. Upon preparations for leaving, we followed procedure, but were told that $50 was taken out because they had to start a fire to keep the house warm... That wasn't outlined clearly in the directions and it isn't fair that they can just take your money with an excuse like that. They also claimed the house had to be aired out... it smelled when we got there and we have no idea what they where speaking about. We got no response in an email when we asked directly what happened, instead an unprofessional remark in the PayPal note section.

I am so happy to have found this amazing home with such a short ride to the airport. What we enjoyed most about this house was the view and the secludedness of the area. If your looking to get away but you don’t feel like driving hours up in the mountains this is the house you need to rent. We went to Breckenridge and Keystone and it was less then an hour away. We will be definitely be booking again in the future.

We thought the property was a gem. First thing that will grab your senses is the incredible vistas. If you stay here....arise at sunrise....sit on the deck and marvel at what beauty the good Lord has provided. It will inspire you for the rest of your trip. The home is situated about 1,300 feet from the top of Saddleback Mountain. Lodge poll pines scent the air with nature. The home is open and airy. Lots of monster size windows to capture nature. Home is clean and very comfortable. Rebecca is around to make sure you have everything you need. If you love hummingbirds...and who doesn't...they are everywhere. Rebecca has several hummingbird feeders hanging in the deck area. The home is perfect for day trips into Denver. It is also strategic for heading west for the day to Breckenridge. Short drive to Golden, Evergreen and Idaho Springs. All are loaded with art and restaurants. I must tell you our first morning provided the highlight of the trip. Just after sunrise...a full grown mountain lion pranced across the driveway by our parked car. Awesome. The kindness of the owner was apparent ...as the day before our departure, our brand new rental car came up with a dead battery. Rebecca's husband quickly grabbed his battery charger and jumped us. You can't do much better than this stay. Highly recommended by frequent visitors to Colorado.

I am a seasoned traveler and have stayed in “home rentals” across the country. This home was by far the worse I have stayed in. When traveling and staying in homes you expect your accommodations to be comfortable and have certain amenities, like fresh towels, working utilities, reasonable access/egress. This rental had none of this and our stay was not enjoyable. First let me say the listing is misleading. It states that it is a 2,600 sq. ft. home. It may be, but you either have access to the upstairs or the downstairs portion of the house, not both. This is not stated in the listing. There were four in our party and we paid a premium amount per night for approximately 1,400 sq. ft. of space. We rented the upstairs (18 exterior steep steps to access 2nd level) and another renter occupied the downstairs. We could hear music and talking from downstairs. The amenities I previously referred to deserve more discussion. The listing states there is a wood stove in the home. It didn’t state that the wood stove was the only source of heat in the house. The house has electric baseboard heaters, but they did not work and were turned off at the breaker panel and not accessible. So for three of the five days we were there we had to carry wood up a flight of 18 snow covered steps. Thank God it warmed up on day four. On day four the dryer stopped working. The towels provided were old and stiff. Having only eight towels (very thin and small) for 4 adults necessitates laundry everyday. The owner provided a list of things that the renters were required to do before leaving. The list included items like, “bank the coals in the stove”, wash all linens and towels, empty recyclables and trash containers. These are things a cleaning service perform. There was an envelope on the counter for tips for the cleaning service too. The house was dirty, especially the main area where the wood stove was located. Carpets were old and in poor shape. Bathrooms and the kitchen (no microwave) were outdated and needed modernizing. To summarize, if Evergreen, CO. is your destination or near attractions you plan to see I would highly recommend you choose another place to enjoy. I forgot to mention, the owner emailed me yesterday and offered to refund $$$.$$ if I gave the property a five star review. Wasn’t that generous? It’s also against VRBO policy for renters or owners to bribe or distort in exchange for favorable ratings.

This house provided the perfect long weekend getaway for my friends and I. The house is in a great location and beautiful setting, and close to many things to see and do. The house was clean and spacious, with really comfortable beds. The views from the house were amazing both in the morning and evening. It was wonderful to breathe the clean mountain air and let the stress roll off our shoulders. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this house for all the reasons listed above, plus the owner was super helpful and provided lots of information that made our stay even more enjoyable.

We loved staying at this cabin. The view was so beautiful to wake up to every morning. The house was perfect and very spacious. And the hot tub was a nice touch to watch the snow fall on the nights we were there. Would recommend this property to anyone!

We had a lovely time staying up at this Evergreen home. Location was great; easy to get to Denver if needed and lots of places to go visit and eat out where we were. Or just stay in and enjoy the view and relax. Lots of deer lounging around the shoulder of the road when we made our trip up and down the side of the mountain. And the owners were very accommodating. We enjoyed our visit.

This home is in a fabulous location-with great mountain views! Easy access off I 70 to get deeper into the mountains or to Denver area! Very comfortable inside...three private bedrooms and bathrooms for larger groups. The warmth from wood stoves is a great compliment to the mountain views. Kitchen has the supplies to cook- including a grill on the deck. The hot tub was a great way to end the day from hiking!!!

Enjoy being in the mountains? Then this is for you!! Awesome house located up beautiful Saddleback mountain (I believe almost 9,000 feet up) with many private acres surrounding you--we fell in love with the place! Plenty of room for larger parties or just 2 ppl. The house is gorgeous! So much nicer than the pics!! And, Rebecca is great to work with! We will stay again!

This house (cabin) is great!! Rebecca (the owner) made the whole process very easy start to finish. The house has a really cool location overlooking the mountains. It’s secluded, and at 8330 feet elevation, it has great views of the surrounding mountain side. All the better, we were only maybe 30 minutes from downtown Denver, which allowed us to easily explore the many restaurants, breweries, parks, hiking, etc. in the area. The house was well maintained, staring out the picturesque windows at the mountains was awesome, the wood burning fireplaces were a nice cabin touch, and the hot tub overlooking the mountains was obviously great too. The kitchens, dining area, bathrooms, bedrooms, etc were all perfect for our trip. Negatives? We really had none. Maybe the high altitude took some getting used to (since I’m from a sea-level city). But that view made it worth it 100-fold. Highly recommend!!

Amazing views! Great location! In the mountains but only about 30 minutes into Denver. Wood stove and Hot Tub were wonderful, as was the relaxing bay window seat in the kitchen. A short drive to downtown Evergreen, Idaho Springs, or Red Rocks.

The house is wonderful for enjoying time with family - playing games, etc. The gathering space is great. This is our 2nd visit we didn't want to leave and we can't wait to come again. New things are the trail head to Saddleback Mountain and robes for winter use of the hot tub. This is an amazing experience for people from the Midwest. The road to the house is like a Scenic Drive. Our favorites are Loveland, Copper Mountain, Meyer Ranch Park Trail, Watrous Gulch Snowshoeing, and Mother Cabrini Shrine. We rented ski equipment for our group at Empire Sports in Downieville, I-70 exit 234, which was great for service and cost. The property was fantastic, the house was amazing! Three levels, with three bedrooms and baths, and there were plenty of other sleeping spaces - we had 11 sleeping there and had more than enough room. A baby bed and toddler bed, high chair, and booster seat were also there- so convenient! Gorgeous views! The hot tub was a blast! Caretakers plowed the drive the morning after it snowed - thank you! We had a wonderful Christmas in this 'house.' Toasty warm wood stoves, huge dining and kitchen area with incredible views of the mountains. Minutes away from Mount Evergreen - with great hiking and sledding. Rebecca is super easy to work with - she led me through the whole process of renting. This was our first time renting a vacation home. It won't be our last! Thank you!!!! A Christmas we will never forget!
