Denny Lodge Vacation Packages

Overall: Good stay, but limited food options The breakfast here was really excellent — fresh, tasty, and plenty of choice. That was definitely the highlight of my stay. However, the lunch and dinner options are quite limited. The menu is mostly sandwiches, pizza, pasta, and steaks — not much variety at all. In my opinion, the food just isn't worth the price. On the plus side, the drinks are reasonably priced for a hotel.

We have stayed at the Harbour hotel on a number of occasions, as well as many other hotels in the area. The hotel is in a great location, has a pool and spa, and in our opinion is the best hotel in Southampton. That said, the room we were allocated appeared to be an apartment rather than a hotel room. It had a full-sized kitchen, but most appliances had been disabled, but the room had little cupboard space for hanging clothes. As we were staying for 4 days, this was impractical. The room also didn't have a phone, so we had to use our mobile to phone reception.

Good rooms and showers. The food we ordered

The hotel wasn't too busy during my stay, but everything I needed was available when required. Evening meals were easy to reserve on the OpenTable app, and when I needed to change the time, it was as simple as logging in to update. The room was ideal for working in, although a bit more illumination would have been nice. The bed was great, so a good nights sleep was had. All in an enjoyable experience.

Just a few things. Receptionist was pretty rude. No hello. No acknowledgment. When I used to come back I said hello and was ignored. My wife said the same thing on separate occasions. Room itself was a good size and had everything. Only issue was a very weird smell. Not sure what it was but was very strong. Also there was pee in the toilet already even though the apartment was cleaned. I wouldn't stay here again but it is a good room for someone on a budget who likes to cook themselves etc.
