"This is a charming, woodland house, with many unique features. Unfortunately, we had some problems. The code we were sent to open the lockbox wasn't right, and I spent 20 minutes on the phone because no one answered the property management number; finally the text support was able to get us the right code. Inside the house, we found areas that had obviously not been cleaned/checked since the last guests - dead bugs under the pillows on the beds, on the windowsills, and evidence of mice. Too bad, because it's really a cute place, and the treehouse and outdoor areas are really nice."

"Older home with some updates. Very clean. It had everything we needed. It would have been nice to have coffee and a couple bottles of water available on arrival. I loved the heated floor in the bathroom. The stairs to the upper bedroom were slippery. Owner definitely needs to add treds on stairs. I would stay again."

"PROS Nice big house on the lake with dock. Well appointed with appliances, dishes, utensils, glassware and linens Comfortable pillow top mattresses Large master suite with beautiful view Lots of recreational equipment incl canoe, paddle boards, fishing poles Fun fishing for small bass With one exception, house is well suited for large family group CONS Had to have overloaded septic system serviced on our second to last day. According to septic service company, system designed for 360 gallons/day for a 3 bedroom home serving 4-5 people; not adequate for 10 guests as advertised. We were a family group of 8 using facilities normally. Encountered multiple mice and employed the four provided traps without success using peanut butter Mouse dropping in cabinets and a drawer where mice used paper napkins for nesting material Master bathroom not cleaned CONCLUSION On balance we had a wonderful time and would readily recommend the house for a delightful lakeside vacation but would hope the shortcomings are resolved. Mice are to be expected in a rural setting and didn’t bother us too much. However given their expected presence, the house should be cleaned with that in mind. The owner and Vacasa/VRBO should figure out how to manage the septic limitation, or inform guests, accordingly."

"Positives: 1. Great location, quiet, plenty of space, deers wandering around 2. Basement was a great space for infants. Lots of toys and books to engage them for a couple of days 3. Plenty of utensils for a couple of days 4. Spacious bedrooms Negatives: 1. Outdoor deck was not cleaned. Spider webs all over the outdoor chairs. 2. Indoor furniture was dusty as well. 3. Glassware was not clean 4. There was a crack in the living room ceiling that seemed like a water leak, and what looked like mold around it. 5. TV does not support streaming, only DVD's. Not a big deal, but if someone wants to watch TV, they dont have too many options. 6. We also weren't informed that keys were placed inside a lockbox, and the lockbox wasnt easy to find."
