clean, modern and well maintained hotel with a cool mid century vibe. location ok, not horrible but not great as you can not walk to anything at all! its functional with surprisingly good food and service - warm, friendly and very helpful staff. Free Parking is good What shocked us was price, over $700 per night was not a good value at all for the location

Can't beat the location. Get an ocean view room and you have it all!! Nice location. Walk to several restaurants.

Great location with parking and light breakfast included made this an ideal spot for a few days in Newport. Katie behind the front desk was terrific with knowledge of where to go and do in Newport... pitching in as needed o every aspect of running Gilded. Decor was funky and fun with lots of vibrant colors. Will definitely be back!

Very cute cottage that was recently remodeled. We liked: the location, nicely decorated, kitchen with coffee pot, oven and fridge, the passes to Waterford Beach, the rec room, Responsive staff, the outdoor area with swing sets, picnic bench, huge yard. Although cottage #22 has 2 bedrooms, I would not recommend this unit for 2 adults and teens, it is too small. Warning - the hot water takes time to heat up. The cottage has a small air condition unit is in the kitchen only so the bedrooms were hot. We could have opened the windows, but there were no screens on the bedroom windows and the front door screen had holes in it. My only other complaint was that the bathroom sink: the faucet was too large for the sink, so water sprayed everywhere.
