"Very clean place, the host Joan was amazing. Very kind to give a little tour of the place and let me know where to park. Easy to communicate with. Place was very quiet and I appreciated that and the location was great. Right in Old Town pretty much which was fun to experience! I definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking to stay in SD!"

Overall a very simple hotel with all the basics we needed. Room was clean, pool, laundry, very friendly staff upon arrival. The breakfast had a good variety and when i asked to see ingredients due to an allergy they were very friendly. Not very sound proof though, we could hear every vehicle out our window and i could hear the shower running from the hall so i can only imagine how loud our kids were to the neighbors.

Overall great experience! Wonderful suite aside from seeing a bug in one of the prepackaged bed sets for the sofa beds. Everything else was clean and nicely maintained. Wish there was more than 1 elevator since it's really slow. Look forward to coming back to San Diego next year but will test out a different hotel!

This is a well managed and cared for property. It’s an older building, but it’s cared for. It offers a great vibe and the hotel staff and cafe staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The rooms are small, but provide you with the necessities and the beds are comfy with lots of pillows. The property is not close to any relevant beaches or attractions, but It is right of the I-5 and it has the transit train station a block away. I’d stay at the rambler again without thinking twice.
