Perfect location for travellers wanting beach access in minutes. Sight seeing bus stop around the corner. Supermarket very close. Housekeeper was excellent. Advise travellers to check the room type and amenity. We paid for a kitchen: freezer door missing, no tea cups, no kettle, no toaster!!!! Maintenance poor: blown light globe, broken trundle bed cover, shower drain cap missing. NO AIR CONDITIONING.
Nice property. Check in was a disaster. Property was to email access codes 48-72 hours prior. Nothing. Rang them - no answer. Contacted via WhatsApp 7 times but found out they were an agency who told us they could not help. Left us with no access codes until multiple efforts managed to make contact. All sorted 3 hours before check in.
Would stay again if maintenance and check in were improved.

Misleading advertisement and management didn’t respond when we complained.
I booked a cabin via hotels.com at Finca el Mazo for my family including our two young children. It was advertised as being family friendly with lots of activities including swimming pool, football, games room and basketball. When we arrived, it was apparent there was an organised camp of maybe 100 teenagers including a stage, amplifiers, loud music and cheering etc. While this caused us no distress during the daytime, the groups were using many of the facilities which meant we couldn’t. Particularly the football, basketball and table tennis tables were in use for organise competitions.
When it came to bedtime, the noise didn’t stop and in fact got worse. We were kept awake until 2:30am. The noise then started again at 7am.
When we raised this as a complaint in the morning, while the staff we spoke to were pleasant and helpful, the management were not on site and contrary to the advert, only Spanish was spoken so as English speakers we found it difficult.
I emailed the office email address to complain and nearly a week later I’m yet to have any meaningful response. Hotels.com have given me a small goodwill gesture payment

"We wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the pool and the spa area. We were just stopping overnight. It's an odd setup - a hotel attached to a gym/spa but we appreciated the amenities. Also convenient was a Carrefour store across the road. Not the most scenic spot but great for an overnight stop ..."

"The listing says “sound proofed” rooms. This was not the case, I could hear my neighbours tv as if I was sitting in their living room. The train comes past every 45 minutes and makes an horrendous sound when it does. I would not stay here again."
