I booked my stay via Expedia. When I arrived on Tuesday afternoon, I was informed that I owed an additional $270 ($100 deposit, $70 housekeeping fee, and $100 pet fee for my two dogs - $50 each) that Expedia did not charge me. The lady at the desk could not explain why Expedia did not give me the option of paying these fees upon booking. That was annoying enough already, then when we got to the room it was dirty. The night manager apologized, and I was told that their housekeepers are mostly "foreign exchange students." I'm not sure why that mattered. The manager moved us into the room next door, and he also offered to help us move our stuff, of which was appreciated. However, that room wasn't much cleaner. (I did not say anything because at that point I assumed they were all dirty. Plus, it was getting late, we were tired from our long drive, and a bad storm was coming. I just cleaned the room myself before we unpacked). The night manager took pictures of the uncleanliness in the first room and told me the owner would be in at 09:00 the following morning, and that he would relay everything to him - and he would be reaching out. I never heard anything from anyone, and we checked out on Friday. It's really annoying that I was expected to pay additional fees, including a $70 housekeeping fee upon arrival - only to be a housekeeper myself.
