Little House: Rural Two Bedroom Cabin At WMH

RURAL LOCATION! Please keep this in mind when booking with us.
Self check-in at Two bedroom Cabin using hand crafted lumber, built and harvested by the Pioneers of Wrangell Mountain Homestead. Hot running water, electricity, and potable water this hidden gem of Alaskan history is a great resting spot before you carry on your adventure to Wrangell St Elias National Park, Chitina for fishing, Kennicott near McCarthy for exploration, or Valdez for the stunning views and hikes.
One master bedroom with a walk in closet, bay window, queen bed and Jack and Jill entrance bathroom. Second bedroom is a much more cozy set up, get ready to cuddle in this queen bedroom!
Full kitchen, half bathroom downstairs, and a small seating arrangement.
No Television (yet!)
Enjoy! This space is yours, please take that to heart and respect it.

We are available and more than happy to assist but please respect our privacy and boundaries, if we are not in the communal area we are unavailable for socializing.
Neighborhood is completely encapsulated on this 320 acre lot.
I recommend a vehicle to get here, but once on the property feel free to walk, run, bring a bicycle! We just ask no motorized vehicles on the pathways.
The lighter in the kitchen is there for guests in order to start the stove as there is no ignitor. Please make sure it stays there for everyone in the future, so they too can enjoy a warm meal.

True Farm
We were only there for one night but we loved the place. The "Little House" cabin that we stayed in was very nicely updated inside, with the true log wall exterior. The chickens, turkeys, sheep, and goat were all there. We live in the country too so this made us feel a little piece of home during our travels through the beautiful state of Alaska.

Old cabin
This place should not be renting until ALL items listed are in working order! No window or fan working in upstairs bathroom….grounds not being kept up…. 3-4 foot weeds and grass around cabin causing mosquitoes to be unbearable!! Door handle fell off while using…maybe $150-$175 a night would be more reasonable for the cabin.

Old log cabin
The cabin was pretty good. The driveway to the cabin was really rough. Very remote and quiet. Beds need a mattress pad and pillows need replacing.

I wish I’d had more time to hang out. External things happened that cut my trip short, so I only spent a night there. Got a good night’s sleep and a hot shower and was back on my way. The owners were very helpful regarding instructions for getting in after hours and other stuff. I’d be glad to get back there.

Very Alaskan!
Gorgeous rustic Alaskan property on a huge homestead, over 300 acres. We were down in Chitina for dipnetting and happened to find this gem, we were the first to rent it. The hosts, Casey and Ellyn were very kind and accomodating. Even let us clean our fish at the property. There was a friendly pig named "Oliver" that came to greet us, and turkeys running around, just a really neat place to stay and we were fortunate to find it. Definitely recommend staying here for a fantastic rural getaway. We wil be back next year!!
