Had a Family weekend here, We loved the country atmosphere, the layout of the house, had an "open" feel, many large windows, lake view, binoculars to use on the table, beautiful sunsets, everyone enjoyed the hot tub! Communication with owner was fast, complimentary, helpful. If you forgot something at home like condiments, good chance you'd find what you needed in the kitchen. Games to enjoy, many amenities I wouldn't have even thought of. Large tvs to enjoy, Awesome water pressure, Very comfortable & our son was so happy he could bring his dog too. Great stay...and more lovely in person .

Charming house with an amazing view!
My family and I stayed here for a wedding down the road and it was perfect! Great views, great location, the hot tub was great after the babies went to sleep each night. Highly recommend!

Relaxing Water View of the lake
This house has plenty of room for everyone to spread out. The pictures portray the house perfectly. It is extremely clean and Jill has thought of almost everything you would need and has a super guide that she has put together. We cooked meals and were not lacking for anything. There is plenty of yard space to bring your furry friends along-we had our two doodle dogs. Neighborhood is quiet. Plenty of towels, starter paper products, coffee filters, really most everything you need. And we were appreciative of all that. Too many times we arrive at properties and there is barely a piece of toilet paper!! Wifi works great too. And there is even an awesome telescope to view the stars at night.

Great place to stay on the lake. Quiet, peaceful, great host who was responsive to any questions we had. Conneaut Park and Ashtabula Harbor are just short drives away. This was our second stay at the Cliffside and plan to return. Thanks for everything Jill!

Nice place
Not much for words but had a good time. Had an issue with May flies that was impossible to plan for. The house had everything we needed. Loved the multi-leveled layout. The jacuzzi was a definite plus.

Cutsie Cluttered
This cutsie cluttered house, with its many levels and bizarre corners and angles, was nice to stay in. The views over Lake Erie were really beautiful. My kids enjoyed the hot tub. Favorite things: the king mattress was really comfortable - the best one I used in the four houses we stayed in on our trip. And the water and shower head were fabulous (it maybe seems like a weird thing to praise, but coming from the other houses with weak water, not enough hot water, or weird shower heads, it's a real thing!). There was a large TV in the living room that we enjoyed. And we LOVED being able to park in the garage. Less good things (though not necessarily anything the property owner needs or can fix): No dishwasher. Lots of bugs outside - bring deet! The couches in the living are cute but not super comfy. While the view is awesome, there's not a great way to get to the beach anywhere near. The windows are wonderful, but less so at 5:00 in the morning - bring a sleep mask!

Lovely view and lovely outdoor amenities
This is a house with additions. The stairs up to the second floor are steep, if I were any stiffer I would avoid them (aged now 68 and stiff kneed.) Kitchen worked well for us. Nice shared areas of the home. Great birds in the yard among them eagles, ravens, rose breasted grosbeak.

This property is absolutely lovely! Myself and five friends (and our dogs) spent a long weekend at Jill’s property and had the best time. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway this is your place. Jill was a great host and we look forward for coming back again!

House was as listed. Plenty of space and the views of the lake were amazing. It had everything we needed and was pet friendly which is a huge pulse for us. The host even left treats. Hot tub was a huge hit.

Lake Erie Conneaut House
This property is a repeat rental for us ! Jill is a gracious host and the house is beautiful ! We love the decor and the huge kitchen ! Plenty of room and the 3 bathrooms make it a fabulous rental for a family! Nice big laundry room and dining room ! Coffee maker ! Beautiful view of the Lake and the house is set off the main road . Very quiet and peaceful! See you next year !!!

Family Weekend
Incredible house, with amazing views and fun surprises! We spent a long weekend here with our family to celebrate our parents 40th Wedding Anniversary and my mom's 60th Birthday. This was one of the most organized houses with lots of surprises when we arrived. The homeowner has thought of practically everything and makes sure your experience in their home is well equipped! Once we arrived, we found the house manual to be super organized & helpful. The views of the lake were breathtaking. During our stay we saw the Bald Eagles several times throughout the day, as well as deer in the backyard, bunnies, racoons and other woodland friends. The house was perfect to accommodate our large family. Plenty of sleeping room for us all. Of course the hot tub was a great addition, as well as the outdoor movie screen the kids enjoyed! The house sits back from the main road and feels private, but close enough to town for amenities. The beach was a short 5 minute drive down the road and it was a really nice beach/park. We also did the covered bridge tour while there that was nice. (All dirt roads) We would definitely recommend this place for a nice family getaway! The owner Jill was quick to respond to any messages we sent and made the whole process easy! We are already talking about staying again!

An Alaskan Adventure
We had been planning to celebrate a 60th birthday in Alaska; however, covid cancelled that plan - and this home was the ideal replacement in the middle of winter. Everything was perfect - from the snow-covered landscape to the beach-home decor! All amenities offered were outstanding - and not having to tote along our own bedding and towels was fantastic. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and more, the living room was charming and cozy, and the hot tub was amazing. We felt we had privacy though situated at the end of a small neighborhood. The location is away from it all yet only a short drive to shopping, dining and wining. The owner's communication via the home's guidebook and emails were timely and thorough - we had no questions before, during, or departure. Overall the Cliffside Getaway is an outstanding vacation home and Jill is a terrific host!

CAUTION! CAUTION! Stay at own risk!,
Decorations were nice. There was a wood stove in the dining room, and wood was “provided” for us to burn. There is no heat in the living room so we kept a fire roaring throughout Christmas Eve and Christmas. The North Kingsville Police Department called us to days after checkout because the landlord reported the “provided” wood STOLEN! Are you kidding me!! All we wanted was a private, holiday getaway. There was no privacy! No drapes in any of the windows, and the hot tub faces the neighborhood. There are cameras on the front and back of the house. We have been VRBO clients for years and had assumed that all fees were paid. However, 10 minutes after arriving, we received a message from the property owner regarding our 2 dogs and the fact that we did not pay a pet fee. No problem at all, that was our mistake. The property owner should re-examine her approach because we did not appreciate the condescending message as if we were trying to cheat her! Never in all my years renting trough VRBO have I received such treatment! Did I mention SHE CALLED THE POLICE to report “provided” wood stolen!!!!

This is a retaliatory review. The cops were called because you loaded up 1/3 of a cord of firewood in your truck when you left - that's theft. It's not physically possible to burn almost 200 pieces of firewood in 48 hours. You also smoked in my house, you left dog poop under my couches, your dogs peed on my Christmas tree, and you didn't bother to clean up after your dogs. The Ring cameras are disclosed in the property listing, there is heat in the living room (which you left on high when you checked out), there are blinds in all of the windows, and the property is on 1.5 acres. Good luck to you (and your hosts) in future VRBO stays, I hope you're more respectful of their property.

Stunning lake property! You are right on the cliff of Lake Erie ! Wake up in the master bedroom with a view of the lake while drinking coffee! Full coffee bar in updated kitchen with nice gas stove and plenty of cookware ( can you tell I love to cook ) 3 mins from the beach on Grove Street ! We will be back again !

Nice weekend getaway
Everything was just as advertised. We used this as a home base for a weekend trip with our adult children and grandson to visit Geneva-on-the-Lake and other sights in the area. We especially enjoyed going outside our first night and looking at the stars. Being next to the lake and without light polution, we were able to see the Milky Way and thousands of stars. The house itself was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.
