"The Francis Marion in Charleston is a great hotel. It is located on King Street which is in the heart of so much that the city has to offer. We had dinner one night in the Swamp Fox, which was very good. We had a very spacious room that included a sitting area. The bathroom was a little on the small side. When we returned one evening, we were pleasantly surprised to see a turndown service with chocolates. A parking garage is located right next to the hotel and the College of Charleston was right there as well. "
"The staff at The Loutrel were wonderful. From personalization of check-in to recommendations for dinners or activities, everything made you feel special.
Welcome drinks, nightly happy hour, snacks and beverages in your room and a shared lounge and breakfast made the room rate very worth it.
The hotel was only one block from City Marketplace and other venues for dining and entertainment. All walkable. We would stay here again. "
"Reception staff were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. Breakfast and afternoon snacks were excellent. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean. While we didn't have a nice view from the room, that was more than made up for by the excellent service. An excellent overall choice for our visit to Charleston."
"Beautiful property in prime location. Superb staff welcoming guests and ensuring a wonderful experience. The room was exquisite and spacious. Prosecco, milk and cookies, brownies, macaroons, beautiful art! "
