"Stayed here to celebrate a friend’s 45th in another town and I am so glad I splurged for two nights instead of one. For a family of five, the double bed room was really spacious! We fit comfortably and had a beautiful view of the woods in the back of the property. We dined the first night at the restaurant in the hotel and the service was superb and the drinks were well done; the food portions were a bit small for the price but the food was good. They also have a breakfast nook in the morning stocked with the basics which was great for us as we were able to have breakfast snacks (bagel/cereal/fruit/yogurt) before meeting up with friends for a big brunch. I also used the gym which has everything you need and is beautifully staged. The machines were inconsistently temperamental (couldn’t push on some buttons to have the machines begin) but I was informed at checkout they’re updating the space next week. Also, the cleaning staff was superb! They were extremely friendly and helpful. Already planning on when I can come back again to visit friends. Just to note: the toaster needs to be replaced as it failed to toast anything on day two. Random, I know. But it was the talk of frustration among guests. "

"The Doubletree is an excellent option for anyone interested in staying in downtown Poughkeepsie. I have stayed there on three different occasions in the last three months, each time for several days,and have always had a good experience. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the parking is free, access is convenient, there are great restaurants within a short walk, and it is only a short walk to the Poughkeepsie Bridge State Park, which is spectacular. Many rooms have a beautiful view over town to the Hudson River. For these reasons and more, I am looking forward to my next visit."
