"The staff was grumpy. The room was small and filled with cheap furniture. The queen bed was uncomfortable. There was no receptical for doggie poop bags or even a marked doggie run."

"Spacious and comfortable rooms! As it's not on some descriptions, the rooms that aren't rooms with full kitchens still do get those double-sized minifridges. Their 'basic' rooms are better than many hotels upgraded rooms! The Lobby is very well kept. Location is quiet and right off the highway. Very engaging and attentive staff! First time at a Sonesta; Sonesta, get ready for all my friends and family :)."

"My stay at Birch Hill Suites in Independence, MO was extremely stressful and disappointing. While the room itself was acceptable at first glance, the overall experience raised serious safety concerns. There was an unauthorized individual in my room, and although staff eventually intervened, the situation was not handled with urgency. To make matters worse, shortly after this incident, I discovered that three of my tires had been flattened in the parking lot. When I brought this to the staff’s attention, I received little to no assistance or support. The parking area did not feel secure, and the lack of responsiveness from staff during such a serious situation was concerning. Air conditioning and basic room features were functional, but none of that outweighs the safety issues I experienced. I would strongly caution others to consider safety and security before booking here."

"The restaurant was not open. The closest restaurant was 2 miles away. There were also a couple of occasions where the drsk was left unoccupied. When staff was around they were friendly "
