La Scalette is a beautiful hotel in Florence. Its location is perfect. You’re within walking distance of amazing shopping, restaurants, the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, etc. The only reason I didn’t give it a five star, was the accessibility and mobility within the hotel itself. Even if you take the tiny elevator to your floor, you might have another set of stairs just to get to your room. After a long day of sight seeing in the heat, the last thing you want is to return it to your hotel and have to take 3 to 4 flights of stairs just to get to your room if the elevator is not available. I would also say I found the in-house restaurant very costly. But even with that, it was a lovely stay.

Very nice hotel. It has the best rooftop view of Florence, we enjoyed going up to the Empire rooftop bar for drinks while enjoying the sunset. Staff is excellent and rooms are clean and comfortable

Villa is beautiful and has breathtaking scenery of the city

A 10 minute walk from Florence main train station. And it is close to a lot of good restaurants. The place is well maintained and the smell of their hotel is so good. The breakfast is really good. Dont miss the mini pistachio croissant. The staff was very helpful and friendly. From calling us a taxi service, to actually getting a map to show us what and where to go around the city, it just feels like an old school warm and sincere hospitality which is very rare this days, specially from a hotel service.

In all honesty, the service wasn’t wonderful and the room seemed more basic than what we expected but the property itself was stunning and we enjoyed the convenience of the shuttles into the city. The room was also cleaned well.
