"The hotel was undergoing construction during my stay. This was obviously undisclosed and taking place right above my head, starting in the very early hours of the morning. Every time we tried to talk to someone about it to see if they could move us to a new room where it wasn't above our heads, they would say that that day was the last day construction was happening. This wasn't true. The showers are also dodgy with wires showing. The hot water didn't work for half of our stay. They did try to fix it, but then it would only work if the pressure was down extremely low. We still didn't get an offer to switch rooms."

"We absolutely loved this hotel right in the middle of Santa Catarina Palopó. Away from the busyness of Panajachel but a close drive into town if you need to access things or take the lanchas to the other villages. We took tuk tuks to get around and there was also parking at the hotel. The town itself was super charming and it was also easy to get a private lancha from near the hotel. All the staff was super kind and attentive and the entire hotel was well maintained and spotless. Beautiful views, we absolutely would come back here! Check out the town, there’s an incredible candle shop, coffee shop and beautiful textiles to purchase and support the local artisans right outside the hotel."

"This hotel was exactly what I needed. It was close to town but far enough away where it felt secluded and peaceful. The view of the lake and the breakfast were spectacular. It is a bit tricky to get to if you’re not familiar with the area, you can show the driver of the Lancha the name of the hotel and they will drop you off right at the dock. Otherwise you’ll have to walk 10 minutes from the town dock. The shower doesn’t get super hot, it gets warm. Overall I’d recommend this place and would stay there again, all the people there were super friendly and helpful as well."
