Lovely eclectic home right on the water. Well equip'd kitchen. Big family style table and large deck. Best of all is location with easy access to Cheticamp
It was our pleasure to stay at Aized’s house. Location is awesome. Beautiful sea view. Well decorated and clean. He was very friendly and polite. He sent us a nice treat . We’ll come back again. Recommend.
We had a wonderful stay. House was as described and exceptional views - we could see seals in the morning! Communication was excellent both before and during stay with any minor questions. Great host.
Lovely location and house with great deck. We had lots of space for 8 adults. House is as described with a lovely view and breeze. Thank you!

What an amazing place. Situated at the end of a very quiet road, there is a great view of the ocean and you can walk to the beach for a swim. The inside was perfect for the 6 adults and 3 kids in our party, and we enjoyed every minute - especially on the large wrap around deck. We will definitely put this on our list as a place to visit again!
We used it for a group of 8 golfing trip. Exactly what we needed: Close to the golf course/amenities/restaurants, lots of space of everyone to sleep and have a bit of privacy if wanted, the most outstanding views, beautiful deck to enjoy the views. One thing to be aware of is that if you arrive in the dark as we did, may be a little difficult to find the driveway.
We were very happy with the location and we had six in our group. We had adequate rooms to spread out and enjoyed the large kitchen table to play games that was provided. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the large deck and the beautiful view. We wished we could have stayed longer.
We had a wonderful stay on Cheticamp island. The check-in process was seamless and Aized’s communication was excellent. The location is beautiful with great views. When the windows are open, a very nice breeze comes through the house. As others have mentioned, the house could be cleaner. It needs a thorough deep clean and better regular cleanings. Overall, the house worked well for our family and the location was excellent - a short drive into Cheticamp and up to the trails in the park!
Wonderful experience for our group of 5 adults. Beautiful views, great deck for morning coffee. And we were greeted by seals floating in the water near the house, in the morning. The tea drinker in the group was grateful for the teapot in the kitchen. Very responsive owner/manager. He answered questions immediately. Property is steps from an 80 acre nature preserve which we took full advantage of. Just a wonderful experience. Highly recommend. !
Great location, property is tired and not very clean
Wonderful location but property is not being cared for. Sheets on the beds were stained and both showers had a build up of black mold. Furnishings are “tired” and there are no blinds on the windows in the downstairs bedroom. Wonderful area outside but there was no table and the chairs shown in the pictures were not the ones made available to us.
We based out of Cheticamp for the 3rd stop of a 3 part Nova Scotia family vacation and our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer! So many beds/ bedrooms that we all had our space, and a fabulous upstairs sitting area with full windows and view of the st Lawrence and a family of seals. This room was stocked with so many fun games for the kids to play. The home was literally perfect for our unexpected rain day/ a great place to cozy up, read, and watch the sea and seals. And then for the sunny days, this home was the perfect jumping off spot for so many adventures- gravel riding right from the door, the hill behind the house for mt biking exploration, and a fun stretch of restaurants and bakeries within 10 minutes. The hikes- gypsum mines, the Cabot trail, and also whale watching, all within 10-30 minutes! Plus so much more. The porch for sunset is just the best for star gazing after a big day outside, and for breakfast the next morning. We will be back to explore more by bike and also to hike blueberry mountain. Thank you for hosting our big family of 7 in your home.

Liked
- the location, especially the outside, the living rooms and kitchen layout.
- Aized is courteous and communicative which I really appreciated
- well insulated windows (it can get windy here)
- centrally located for a bunch of activities on the cabot trail
- a beautiful view to wake up to rain or shine
Didn't Like
- the Internet speed was not as advertised. It was slower than expected
- the deep bathtub could benefit from a curtain so that it can be used for a normal shower
- the layout of the top WC is a bit awkward as the sink is outside the WC
The view is absolutely stunning!
The cottage was very clean, spacious, and well-equipped, and the location was perfect. It’s close to convenience stores and whale-watching tours, and we were even lucky enough to see whales right from the balcony!
The host was very respectful, responsive, and easy to communicate with. We were a group of friends and family, and we all really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended!
We had a lovely stay at the Chateau acadien. The panoramic view from the deck of the Cape Breton shoreline is unforgettable. All the rooms were luxurious and clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location on Cheticamp Island is in the original fishing settlement, and a small museum is being built nearby. It is supremely quiet and peaceful, but conveniently close to Cheticamp. I highly recommend this property.
Great location on the water with great views. Multiple sleeping options with three bedrooms in basement and two twins in the living room loft. A patchwork of comfy, functional furniture. Easy to come and go.
Wonderful views, very large and thougtfully designed house offering quiet and privacy. Close to Cape Breton National Park and the town of Cheticamp. We enjoyed the large number of rooms and bathrooms available to choose from - perfect for a larger group!
