Enjoy stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, Cape Breton\`s rugged coastline and crimson sunsets from every room. The spacious well-equipped kitchen is a comfy spot to cook and entertain, while the west-facing sundeck and the cliff-side lookout are incredible places to relax over morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Amenities include a full-size kitchen with stainless steel appliances and island, Wi-Fi, SMART TV, satellite cable, two bathrooms, air conditioning, BBQ, sundeck, deck chairs, cliff-side lookout area and an outlet for fast EV-charging. Location-wise, our home makes for a great home base for hiking in Cape Breton National Park, touring the Cabot Trail or golfing at nearby Le Portage or Cabot Cliffs, which is just 30 minutes away to the south. Please note the following before booking: 1\. HOUSE RULES: No pets, parties, events, smoking, fires or cooking fish, shellfish or other strong-odor foods indoors is permitted. Quiet time begins at 10 pm. 2\. AGE RESTRICTION: For safety and other reasons, children must be 8 years or older to stay 3\. HOME SHARING -- We are happy to host a family of up to 6 guests or 2 couples, but the property may not be shared by more than 4 adults without manager approval. Extra guest fees apply for 5th and 6th guest. 4\. GUEST SAFETY / RISKS - Guests agree to be responsible for their own safety near the cliff as a fall could result in serious injury or death. 5\. Hike the famous Skyline Trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Enjoy dramatic headland cliffs overlooking the rugged coast from the end of this level trail. You can enjoy an eagle\`s view of the Cabot Trail as it winds its way down the mountain. 2\. Enjoy whale watching and coastal tours offered by local operators. Watch for whales in the Gulf of St. Lawrence from the viewing decks. Moose, bald eagles, bears and numerous boreal birds live here. 3\. Enjoy live Celtic and Fiddle music at the Doryman Pub and Grill and Le Gabriel restaurants (just 10 min away). 4\. Le Portage 18-Hole Golf Course. Tee off beneath the Cape Breton Highlands. 5\. Museum/Gallery/Cultural Center -- At Les Trois Pignons heritage center you can dive into Acadian culture and the history of Chéticamp, view an impressive collection of tapestries, rare hook rugs and antiques. There is also a genealogy resource center. 6\. Hike to the swimming hole at the Cheticamp Gypsum quarry. This is a short hike on an established trail/ ATV track that leads you to a beautiful, secret swimming spot near Cheticamp. 7\. We hiked in the park, biked a lovely bike trail ( rented at Inverness Adventures), strolled the beach, and enjoyed music at the nearby Doryman Pub. A great vacation! The house was set up perfectly for my group (all of us over sixty), as there no stairs to navigate aside from a couple of entry steps to the house. Every bedroom has an amazing view so no one feels left out. As matter of fact every room in the house has a million dollar view. The property was clean, well stocked, and the host was just the right amount of communicative. He touched base with us mid way through the stay to make sure all was well but was never intrusive. Make sure you leave a day to just hang on the deck with your beverage of choice, the deck faces the sun all afternoon and provides an amazing place to watch the sun set. The house is well equipped and has a high standard. It had everything we needed and the kitchen with the view was gorgeous. Michael was a very helpful and responsive host and we appreciated all the help. We hope to get to return someday to this beautiful place! cluff ##### Laura C. Well stocked and appliances all very nice. Though we did not use the washer and drier it was nice to have. Beds were very comfortable and the view from the deck was phenomenal. ##### Philip L. Michael was a fabulous host - making sure we had detailed instructions prior to arrival and following up with a quick call when we arrived to make sure everything was satisfactory. The house is lovely with a very attractive decor and stunning views of the coast from inside and from the deck. It was sparkling clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. It was a bit of driving as we went back and forth to Cheticamp several times but beautiful and peaceful at the home.
