"The room was fantastic and the staff very accommodating. The linens, bed and toiletries were amazing. Only drawback was roof repair on portion of chateau so arrival photo isn’t great. It did not impact our visit at all."

"This property was the perfect location in the Amboise area for my husband and I to use as a base for day trips to the area castles. I wanted to stay a little outside Amboise, and I couldn't believe this cottage was available. I felt like we were living a dream! This cottage is quiet and safe, but also close to Amboise, a supermarket, restaurants, wine tasting, etc. The owner is delightful! She left us a bottle of wine and fresh tomatoes from the local market. All kitchen appliances were easy to use. All the rooms were comfortable and well appointed. The washer-dryer in the cottage was very convenient. We loved it and recommend it for families and couples. It was one of the highlights of our trip. "

The house is a beautifully renovated historic outbuilding on a large estate; the property was very well equipped with thoughtful attention given to every detail. But most importantly, the owners are exceptional hosts, and they went "over and above" to ensure that we had a satisfying and comfortable stay. "Excellent welcome. We arrived at the gate and we're greeted in a very friendly professional manner. We were welcomed into the lovely courtyard with a smile and guided professionally through the check in process. Our french is not very good and their english was excellent so it made us feel at ease. We were shown around the property and guided to our accommodation plus very helpfully booked in for a session in the Spa in the cave which is wonderful. We were also provided with much helpful information about a party which was going on in the courtyard that evening and places where we could go to eat in the evening. A wonderful stay and we hope to return one day for longer! "

We easily accessed the retreat with a 20-minute drive from the Gare St Pierre des Corps, where we rented a car from Avis. The house blends old-world charm with modern comforts—comfortable beds, a newly updated shower with instant hot water, and a contemporary toilet.We visited in mid-May when the weather was perfect. The blooming rose garden and nearby fields of vibrant poppies added to the serene ambiance. Practical amenities were just a short drive away in Amboise, with excellent dining and groceries available.The property boasts a rich history, highlighted by the cave that once served as a wine press for its renowned Vouvray white wine.
