"Overall is nice."
Overall, the hotel is nice. The desk staff isn't real welcoming but they are attentive and seem to do their jobs. I ran into a few problems with the cleaning staff. Out of three days, the first day they didn't clean the room only came by to empty the trash. The second day they cleaned and removed all the soap, luckily I was able to catch them and got some. I didn't realize, until the next morning at shower time, that they had also taken the shampoo and conditioner. But the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There is a small kitchen area with a refrigerator, mico-wave, sink and coffee maker but there are no dishes or silverware. You can hear some airport traffic noise but it isn't bad. I would stay here again.

"Nice Hotel"
Upon arrival of the Sheraton everything was very nice. Room was clean, and bed was comfortable. I have 2 complaints. 1. The TV in my room was not working properly. Only certain channels would come through, and the staff said it was because Time Warner was working on the cable. I was there 5 nights and it was messed up all 5 nights. The staff did give me some vouchers to offset the TV being out. Complaint number 2 is that my room had a bunch of gnats flying around. I thought it was just a couple so I was clapping all around trying to kill the little boogers. I finally noticed that there were about 10-15 just chilling on the lamp shade. Very tough to get them all. Last thing that upset me a bit is that I went to eat at Evoke in Le Meridian and although the food was very good, I was overcharged. I used the vouchers given to me from the TV being out in the restaurant, and they still charged me the full price. I have contacted them since and they said they would refund the amount. Its still a bit of a pain to have to go through all of that.

Nice downtown location, great staff...friendly, helpful, etc. Room was fairly quiet given all the construction. I'd stay there anytime we came to Charlotte, if the price remained affordable.

"hotel's never are able to get the air cool and dry"
the ac in hotels always have a damp feeling to them, instead of being dry that's the only issue I had, it was clean and food was pretty good.

"Beautiful hotel but they could not manage the socc"
Finding the hotel wasn't very difficult and it was absolutely beautiful. What we experienced (my 2 kids and I) was a hotel that could not handle the massive amount of people trying to get to their rooms before the 5:00 game. We arrived before 4:00 and waiting in line for 30 minutes before we were told our room would not be ready (check in was 3:00 PM per the website) and there was no apology whatsoever. I provided my phone number but was never called when the room was available. We arrived back at 8:00 PM and waiting again in line and was provided our room key and another line to pick up our bags (not taken to our room). After waiting 15 minutes, I had to follow a staff member to the room where the bags were stored and they couldn't locate either with my 2 claim forms. I found one (no tag) and the 2nd (which had a tag) so I was told they were not tagged correctly when we checked in. I was told to call and complain and try to get a discount but I do not do that unless it's a complete meltdown but the staff was overwhelmed and there were many unhappy people waiting longer than I for their room and luggage. The hotel was lovely and rooms were clean when we arrived around 9:00 PM. There is a $50 fee that attach to your credit card if you paid or not so be aware (drops off after a few days) and there is a parking fee of $20 so also be aware of that as well.

"Weekend getaway"
The hotel was beautiful and the staff very friendly. The bar and restaurant was excellent. I was there when a very large group of teenagers occupied the hotel and had no noise complaints. I wish the pool bar was open more and the outdoor pool needed to be cleaned. The bottom looked very dirty. I laid out but didn't get in. I would definitely stay here again. Its worth the price

"Business vs. Pleasure"
I travel to this area on occasion for business, but I always look forward to it. Courtyard Marriot Lake Norman has an environment conducive for a business professional, but can also make the experience feel more pleasurable with the Bistro, pool, easy transportation to Birkdale village, and friendly staff.
