The place was very clean and in a nice neighborhood - very close to the Citadel. The place was great for a girl's weekend where we were on the go most of the time and the parking spot was very handy for our rental car. The park across the street was lovely. As this is a basement apartment, we could hear the footsteps of those upstairs, but it didn't bother us.
Perfect Stay - Clean, Comfortable and Great Location
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was clean, comfortable and the perfect location for our stay with our two dogs being across the street from Hampton Park. All important information was communicated well and the property had some information about local happenings and things to do. Couldn’t ask for more!
Perfect location for our short visit to Charleston! Great space for my wife and me. We even walked to a dinner place the first night. Definitely would stay again.
Cute little place, clean, well taken care of. Nice neighborhood ..safe for walking in the park across the street, cafes and eateries and close to downtown Charleston. We enjoyed walking in the morning to Sightsee Cafe for coffee. If you’re into barbecue check out Lewis Bbq, it was highly recommended by our Uber drivers.
Came to Charleston for our daughter birthday and new year celebration. We really enjoy our stay, everything in the property seem brand new, and the host was team was perfect in responding our questions. Will definetly come again!
This VRBO is incredible! It is located in a house just a short walk away from King Street and super close to some great restaurants and coffee shops. The place was very well maintained and the host was incredibly responsive throughout the process. They were very diligent in making sure our stay was smooth and did an incredible job of seeking out advice to improve future guest experiences. Definitely will be staying again if possible.
Clean. Comfortable for our two night stay. Two couples Two bedrooms. One bathroom. Small kitchen, no oven or dishwasher, though, that did not matter to us. Perfect for a short stay. Within walking distance of The Citadel main gate. 15 min walk to Citadel football stadium . Unit is across from a beautiful park. Coffe shop and Restaurant 10 min walk. One car park in driveway. Street parking, no permit required on weekends. Basement unit. So, upstairs unit tenants could be heard walking and child running. Still, enjoyable and would book again.
Outstanding property at an A location. Across/on the perimeter of Hampton Park and a very short walk to The Citadel campus. Great restaurants in walking distance, and for the medium-hearty, South of Broad is only about 2 flat miles away. It is a very safe and residential neighborhood and the neighbors we met were awesome. This property was dog friendly and our pug Ernie gives it two paws up too!!
The property was as described and easily walkable to restaurants as well as King street and the citadel. Very tall people might want to skip this one as it in the basement of an older home and the ceiling is quite low in the shower.
We are a Citadel family and this place was great if attending school activities. It is a 10 min walk to campus right up Moultrie Street. The house was modern, with comfortable beds and pillows, plenty of towels. One bathroom so wouldn't recommend more than 4 people. There is no stove, but the hot plate worked just fine. Definitely recommend.
Nice tree lined street along Hampton Park. 1 designated parking spot in driveway plus some off street parking as well as parking lot in park nearby. Basement apartment with good size windows for light. Lower ceiling but not a problem for my 6'2" husband except the shower which was slightly elevated above the floor probably for mechanicals. Walk down stairs to enter apartment. Nice kitchenette, no stove but microwave for cooking. Comfortable and clean furniture. Good water pressure.Washer and dryer. Able to walk to upper King St with good restaurants like Leon's, Melfi's.
My husband and I stayed for a long weekend. The apartment was a great space to relax and unwind. Beds were very comfortable. Across from a beautiful park you can walk or bike through.
Great location, especially if you’re traveling with a dog
They had everything we needed and were quick to respond to answer any questions. The listing did mention a pool, but I think it’s at another of the Duvet properties, really wasn’t a big deal. The only thing I can warn you about is the height of the ceilings, it is listed as a basement unit, I’m 6’5” so things got a little, especially in the shower. Again, not a bad thing if you’re on the short side. I still recommend this property.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Park View is a great spot if you’re wanting to stay outside the crowds on King Street. If you’re willing to walk 30 minutes to get to all the awesome shops King street offers, you certainly can! However we used Uber often. Hampton Park across the street is gorgeous. There are also a bar and restaurant nearby that you can walk to.However a few things you should be prepared for:1. It’s a basement level apartment with low ceilings. If you are 5’10” or taller, be prepared to watch your head and squat during your shower.2. No coffee pods for the Keurig coffee maker and no filters for the regular coffee maker.3. Cockroach - I had one cross over my foot while getting ready in the bathroom.4. The front bedroom with the king bed gets extremely hot, so you will want to sleep with the doors open.5. People live upstairs and have a child(ren), and a dog so sleeping in may be difficult with the noise above in the early morning hours.
