"Very comfortable house in a lovely spot (only slight difficulty is the spiral staircase - which could be tricky for some). Especially good if you like fishing with a beautiful lake right outside the front door. Surroundings are extremely quiet and peaceful with plenty of nice walks in the area. Host’s really nice and friendly and helpful. Would certainly go back."

"Great location for access to Saint Mathieu and the lake. Good sized bedrooms, plenty of decent crockery, etc. No frills but adequately met our needs. As we were only a couple we were paying a premium, better value for a family. Gardens surrounded the property with plenty of choice of seating, weather permitting."

"The property was beautiful, we made good use of the pool and all of the shaded areas (it was extremely hot during our stay). The snooker table was the subject of many early evening rivalries and we were lucky enough to be there whilst the village food fair was on, which was a bonus. A lovely relaxing stay in a very well equipped property."

"Lovely old house with some charming foibles and eccentricities. Even developed a soft spot for the robot lawn mower. Great space, 4 bathrooms (2 ensuite), well equipped kitchen (always great to have basics there - salt, oil, herbs etc), great table tennis room, big garden to kick rugby ball. Outdoor bbq plate. "Lovely gite, owners are discrete but on hand if you need them. The welcome wine, and biscuits etc is a nice touch when you have travelled a long way. The gite it self has everything you need, and the bed was very comfy. We enjoyed all the walks nearby and had a relaxing time. Thank you Craig & Sophie."

"An amazing property in a fantastic rural location. Town 10mins drive and a 20mins walk into the village. The pool was a massive hit with everyone and was very much appreciated during the hot spell. A very well equipped kitchen and plenty of space for all to be inside the property. If you want a peace and quiet getaway then this is the place to stay."

"Lovely gite, nice couple very friendly but unfortunately whilst decor etc was lovely for me the basics need tweaking a bit ie: no freeze box, no blinds in the bedrooms, no WiFi and I had to climb into the bath to set the taps for the children to have a shower/bath which I found quite difficult with an arthritic hip. On the plus side there is a full size cooker, microwave and a washing machine so I was able to go home with a clean suitcase of washing. There were dvds to watch, bikes to ride and...

"Oh my word!!! Some of the loveliest staff and friendly Locals you will ever meet. We had a vehicle problem. If we had needed to, the Hotel was happy to keep it safe for us until we had it collected days later. Restaurant food was outstanding, starter was the best I have eaten this Holiday. Cafe area was warm and welcoming. Just a perfect stay in a lovely town. Thank you "
