"Beautiful hotel with wonderful hospitality We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Algilà Ortigia Charme. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, friendly and genuinely welcoming. The hotel is full of Sicilian character and charm, and its location in Ortigia was perfect for exploring on foot. Our room was comfortable and beautifully suited to the character of the hotel, and the staff were always happy to help with recommendations and anything we needed. After travelling throughout Sicily for two weeks, what stood out most was the genuine hospitality. We felt like valued guests, not just another reservation. Algilà was exactly what we hoped for from a Sicilian hotel — charming, personal and welcoming. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ortigia!"

"Overall the hotel was very nice and in perfect location. We would definitely stay again. Some items they could improve. The reading lights above bed did not work and there was no other source of light except the huge lights for the entire room. The shower floor was super super super slippery. Both my husband and I almost fell several times. It was so bad while mid shower I couldn’t even move because I knew if I went either direction I was going to fall. Being it is so hot, and considering price of rooms they could provide more bottles of water for room. Maybe 4 instead of 2. Our friends stayed in Junior Suite and they didn’t realize it was 2 floors and the bathroom was downstairs. And it was a spiral staircase coming down with no handrail and he just had knee surgery and neck surgery. They wouldn’t have booked room if they knew that. The rooftop area is really nice but be sure to get them to open the sun shade for you because it can get really hot."

"Great location, about 10 minutes walk to the bridge to ortigia. Free parking on the street in front of the property if you can find a spot. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. We were received by Laura and she was very friendly and helpful. The apartment was on the 4th floor (elevator) and very spacious with a very large outdoor space overlooking the city. It is equipped with electric kettle, coffee maker, microwave, fridge & small cooktop. There is a dining table with 4 chairs and a sofa bed and tv."

"I mean there is a reason for the price and its entirely justified with this stunning Marriot property. Everything was wonderfully curated, the spa was lovely, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff was attentive and went out of their way to make sure you were comfortable and had everything you needed. And im not just saying that, the front desk literally got on the phone same day as we were supposed to travel across sicily (we hadn't booked a car yet) and fought with like 3 different locations to get us a car. Everything was randomly sold out but they got it done for us. Just an incredible experience."
