    Amazing Stay, Amazing Hosts

This is one of those places you expect a nice experience but from the moment you arrive you realize it exceeds any expectation you had. We had been on the road for the last 4 weeks and this was our last night in Canada and what a way to finish. This is one of those hidden gems that you find as you travel. Michele and Mark are there to greet you on arrival and show you around and you will find them to be wonderful hosts. Once settled in you will find history and wonderful furnishing everywhere you look. The room we stayed in was amazing and so comfortable. Then you have the grounds surrounding you which are beautiful and lovely just to stroll around. Then the breakfast was set out for us in the morning and it was beautiful. We simply enjoyed every moment of our stay and have place this on our "to return to" list. We loved it

We’ve stayed in several B & Bs and our most recent visit at The Blaylock Mansion was without a doubt the most magnificent! So much history and beautiful architecture along with 13 acres of botanical gardens. We were treated like family by Mark and Michelle. Her culinary breakfasts are wonderful & delicious. Mark’s passion for detail and quality is very evident and his knowledge (as well as Michelle’s) of the history of the mansion and grounds are exemplary. One most important factor is that both Mark and Michelle treat you like family.

We stayed in the presidental suite for our 25 th anniversary . It was an amazing suite with great views and lovely furniture and decor. Would stay again in a heart beat . Terrific, friendly , informative staff and management. Very romantic setting close to the lake and Nelson.

A grand old home overlooking the lake

Beautiful grounds, house and location. Has all the benefits of an hotel but with the luxury of a lovely home. Rooms are very comfortable and we were encouraged to enjoy large areas of the home which detail it`s unique history.

    Pros: Everything

    Cons: Nothing

Location: Just a short drive from a small city and many points of interest close by.

Fabulous Girls Get Away at the Mansion

The Inn Keeper, Mark, was very accommodating! He was very understanding when we called to say that we would be arriving late due a forest fire that delayed us on the highway. In spite of our late arrival, he took the time to give us a tour of the mansion and gave us a short history lesson about the mansion and the area. Mark checked in with us throughout our stay and brought an ice bucket for our bottle of wine pool side. He also opened up and gave us access to a second bathroom ... 3 ladies on a shopping excursion in Nelson. We can't wait to book our next visit to Nelson.
