So, I get up at 2:30am for a routine bathroom visit, and let me add the (surprisingly relevant) detail that it was the quick and quiet #1 variety. Just as I was back in bed turning off the light, someone in the dark just outside my window asked 'Are you alright?'. Startled, at first I assumed this was a conversation between 2 people coincidentally on the walk outside my room, and I did not respond. However, the person who identified as a security guard seemed to really want to start a conversation with me, and kept asking until I responded. If I was not fully awake before, I sure was now and hours after,"

"Our stay at Sleeping Giant was perfect! The grounds and location are beautiful. The staff are lovely, helpful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed 2 different excursions provided by their concierge service. Josh was wonderful. We biked and swam in the crystal clear river. The restaurants were top notch and accommodated our vegan/celiac-free friend. We got to hear the Howler monkeys right outside our mountain view room!"

"We just returned from Blancaneaux, and we’re still thinking about the food, service, ambiance, and overall experience. It was absolutely outstanding, and I highly recommend staying here. A few things I especially loved: Everything was incredibly clean, with this beautiful indoor/outdoor feel. You are truly in the middle of the jungle, and it feels like it. They have an organic garden on site. Fresh, high-quality food is really important to me, and this was a standout. You can have complimentary coffee brought to your room in the morning. It sounds like a small detail, but it makes such a difference. If you are a runner, you can run at the nearby airstrip, which is a huge bonus. A couple of tips: If you hike to Big Rock Falls, be prepared. It is a rigorous hike and can get very slippery, especially if it has rained. Bring plenty of water. If you swim in the river or around the falls, the rocks can be extremely slippery. We found it was much better not to try to stand up on them. Overall, Blancaneaux was one of those places that really lived up to the experience we were hoping for. Beautiful setting, wonderful people, and some of the freshest food we’ve ever had."
