"When I arrived the beauty of the house and property far exceeded my expectations. Walking into home you can feel 100 years of history, but you quickly realize that the Host has been so attentive to every detail imaginable to make your stay incredible. When you’re in the kitchen sitting around the island enjoying time with friends and family take a moment to look at a book that is there on the shelf telling the history of Union county Illinois. This wonderful home is located in Union County Illinois and to my pleasant surprise, I found a picture of my Great Great Grandfather in this book. He was born in 1876. This is 5 Star accommodations and I encourage you to treat yourself to such luxury."

"Great place to stay with our dogs while in town visiting family. We were kept busy by the activities available in the cabin and enjoyed the peace outside. We were tempted to ride the trails, which looked nice, but only didn’t because we opted for mud. High likelihood we will be back. Our dogs were happy and so were we."

"We had a great stay at this cabin. This was a dreamy cabin, cozy, and quiet within beautiful nature. The town was small and cute to enjoy local stuff. The hosts were very nice and friendly and give us really good suggestions to enjoy our stay. Very clean, nicely designed, and accessible. Staying in this cabin is a must if you are in the neighborhood."

"Wonderful hosts with perfect communication all through the vist. Property is large enough for 4 couples, the gazebo with the firepit in the middle is perfect for fires in the other 3 seasons, was too hot to use it this time. Plenty of things to do, with a pool table, dartboard, board games. Yard is large and it's quiet other than road traffic. Decorated well in the hunting/fishing theme. Pets were welcome which is what we were after in trying to get away from an over abundance of fireworks in our area this year. Definitely worth checking out and bringing friends along with you."

"This place is a cozy, charming, clean, close to everything we wanted to see in Paducah place to stay. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The host is very responsive and helpful. I wish we could have stayed longer. We would stay here again."
Charming cottage overlooking Lake Acre

"This was our second time staying here and we stayed for a full week. Fully enjoyed the time away from home. I did a lot of fishing and my wife did some crafting. Enjoyed a fire down by the lake with roasted hotdogs and s'mores. Grilled for dinner a couple of times also. Other nights we brought pre-prepared meals. It's a great getaway out away from the cities. Be prepared to relaxed and enjoy!"
