Overcharged for breakfast said 10 and charged 16. Generally good hotel.

From the outside and on the first floor lobby, the hotel looks nice, but specifically our room on the 6th floor was in need of cleaning (carpet had multiple stains, remnant of mini fridge, but no fridge, AC not cooling, and WiFi did not worked). We only stayed one night so didn’t bother to say anything, but the Montpelier the city is well worth a visit.

Everything is ok

I hoped for a clean, cool room where I could rest but instead the room was hot and there was no respite from the heat of the outdoors. The room description included AC but when I got there- without a word from the host- I found that the AC was non-existent. In this summer heat, you should at least have warning before checking in that there is no AC. There was no thermostat- only a fan. The room was fine except the floors were gritty and the walls dirty. It was not a pleasant experience.

Loved the little cafe next door (but with an entrance inside the hotel for guests). The optional breakfast that could be included with the room was plentiful and delicious. The people were friendly and tolerated my French. They also had gluten free options for me. Cute outside seating area. My friend suggested Maison Soleil because it was close to both the train station and her home. I would definitely stay there again.
