The bed i n my room is old, I can feel laying on spring, although they later put a topper on it. I was not able to get good sleep , because I cant sleep when its hot. The AC is not central and barely working, its more like a fan. I told the lady at the front dest, she said she will send someone to look at it but never did. I also did not appreciate the defensiveness when I complained about the bed, phone not working and AC is not working, The lady made a statement "no one has complained before." That was a tad rude. Restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is decent.

Hotel Edelweiss was our jumping off point for a 4-day hiking trek through the Lauterbrunnen Valley, and it was our first time visiting the region. A huge thank you to Thomas from the staff, who knew the area like the back of his hand and gave us invaluable advice about our route, which trails had the best scenic views, and what to expect along the trails and in our overnight hut stays. He sent us on our way with a custom annotated map and boosted confidence for the adventure ahead. Thank you, Thomas!
The setting of the hotel was a perfect escape from the busy and touristy town of Lauterbrunnen below. Unbeatable views of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau from our balcony, the dining room (with excellent breakfast spread), and the lovely deck. It was truly a perfect start to an incredible trip.

Very disappointed in this hotel , finding out they had no ac room was so warm , room no walls between bathroom and bedroom . Felt like a college dorm . Room was not cleaned well . Tried to check out after the first night manager had an answer for every issue . Only good thing was the breakfast and kitchen staff. Specially asked weeks before check in for a quiet room on a higher floor before checking in was given a room on a lower floor facing a busy street . Also no front desk after 1030 which i have never experienced. My friend got locked out of her room and we had to call a number for a security company . I would not stay here again

"The location was perfect on the edge of old town. I'd been through Chur many times but never stayed long enough to wander around; it was charming. The hotel was just one stop from the main station on an [seemingly] hourly train and a 10 min flat to downward slop return."
