"The Garland was such a lively and fun place to stay. We stayed at two hotels during our trip, and I’m really glad this was one of them. The energy was great and the events they hosted were awesome. The pool and fitness center were really nice, and the room had a cool, groovy design while still being super comfortable. The trolley to Universal was one of my favorite parts. It was so cute and made getting there really easy. The restaurants both looked great, and I loved the store too. Everything felt thoughtful and well done. I would definitely stay here again."

"Wonderful hotel. Amazing views from the roof restaurant. Lobby smells amazing. Not much of a gym or pool, but the location is 1 block from the beach & shopping at 3rd street. Five stars."

"I did not use the pool. I spoke with Ben over the phone and again when I was on property and he handled everything perfectly for me. My room was clean and everything in there worked. There is one thing that I don't enjoy and it's the pricing. I guess hotels are using AI technology now for pricing and I don't have a lot of money so that puts me out of running when prices are high like that. I am able to find a reasonable price and the hotel website more often than not. The maid service and everybody else that works in the office are always very kind and polite to me. I unfortunately live in my car. When I get my benefit pay is when I'm able to come here for a day or two. Having not have to sleep in my car is it blessing. I'm 58 not in the best of shape I have some medical issues which makes it extremely difficult for me and my mobility at times. I just like to thank everybody there. "

"Breakfast was pretty good, room was spacious. We arrived pretty late, so we were tired. When we got into our room, it smelled very strongly of garlic- like someone had just eaten some strong food in there. Also, there was no bedding for the pull out bed, which we needed. We needed to sleep, so I didn't mention the garlic (otherwise I would've) and I picked up the necessary bedding at the front desk instead of trying to call for it. Other than that, it was a solid motel. "

"We absolutely loved this hotel! Friendly staff, very clean rooms and priced well. We were right in the middle of all the activities we had planned all over LA which was great. The restaurant was good and the pool was nice a quiet. I enjoyed being able to grab drinks at the pool but the one and only downside was it taking over 35 minutes to get my drink with little to no other people there. I’d like to add that as parents we really enjoyed how the cleaning lady organized our stuff everyday :) "
