Understanding owners during COVID-19
Our visit to Boulder was cut short by COVID-19. Richard and Kelly were understanding and helped work out a compromise partial refund of our unused days, for which we were appreciative. Of the property, as stated before, the suite is the basement floor of the owners' home. There is a separate entrance, and abundant overhead lighting, but limited natural light and some sounds from above, as would be expected in a basement. The kitchen not exactly a discreet space, but rather a collection of cooking appliances (microwave and toaster oven in office area cabinet, hot plate in storage cabinet above breakfast table, coffee maker and toaster on breakfast table) gathered near the utility sink, washer and dryer, and very large basement fridge. I would not recommend trying to cook a meal for a large gathering here, but you can definitely whip together a simple dinner if, for example, social distancing prevents eating out regularly. Otherwise, this property is walking distance to Pearl Street Mall, where restaurants abound, when open. The queen bed has a thick, very soft pillow-top, so stomach sleepers may need to try out the other bed, a fold-out couch. The walk-in shower in the single bathroom is generous and gorgeous. Plus pet-friendly, but without evidence of previous pets, i.e. clean.

Great place - convenient location!
We had a five-star experience while staying here during our short trip to Boulder. The space was clean, quiet, and comfortable. It’s a really attractive unit, with hardwood floors, exposed brick, multiple sitting areas, and a few windows letting in natural light despite it being a basement suite. Our hosts made sure we were well stocked with towels, linens, and the like. There’s plenty of closet/drawer space to store your things. We didn’t cook while we were there, but the unit can accommodate that. It included everything short of a stove (we spotted a toaster, microwave, hot plate, coffee maker, and a large fridge). A washer and dryer were on-site, too. The real advantage of using this place for your trip to Boulder is the location. It’s just a short walk to the Pearl Street Mall and the surrounding downtown attractions. If you’re looking to hike, you can reach some trailheads by car in a few minutes. We barely used our car during our stay. The unit is pet friendly. Our dogs were able to use the fenced-in yard for bathroom trips and there’s a small park around the corner as well. Kelly and Richard were polite and friendly when we chatted, and they were hands-off during our stay. All in all, this is a great place to call home during your next trip to Boulder!

Comfortable and cozy
Couldn't have found a better place for our one week in Boulder attending our daughter's graduation from the University. Location was excellent--right in the heart of Boulder and just a couple blocks off Pearl. Even though the apt was in the basement (lower level) of the house, it felt private. Kelly and Richard were easily available for questions and promptly responded to texts. (And they were incredibly welcoming.) I'd absolutely stay here again.

Exceptional!
My husband and I came here for a quick get away and couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay! Their home is beautiful and spacious. We never had any issues with noise or invasion. When we come back to boulder we plan on staying here again!
