« It's a historic propery- about 130 years old. But it's in very good shape. The place has character, but with nice attention to detail. The restaurant/bar is great. The fried cod and chicken meatloaf entrees were delicious, but I didn't like the string beans (undercooked). The room was cozy, clean and quiet (we had one facing the lake and not the street). »

« The property had been cleaned and was in reasonably good condition. There was an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke that really detracted from the positives. This was surprising because it was listed as a nonsmoking property. If you don’t mind the smell of cigarettes, then this is an economical and convenient place to spend the night. »

« Check in was difficult with no internet on the property and no one at the motel office or available anywhere when we arrived at 4 pm. We later found the code for our room from the owners by driving for an internet connection in a nearby town.
We were intimidated to return to the motel with no one there but did so and successfully accessed our room.
The room was nicely appointed but we would have much preferred a welcome in person.
Not kidding, notices about bear sightings didn’t help when we...

« The place is great. Very clean and well kept. The issue is that the water in both the sink and shower is barely a trickle and always just ice cold. My wife got one shower that was almost a little warm, but the warm water only lasted for a minute. We were there for 3 nights »
