Basic comfortable hotel, a good 1 hour’s walk from Reykjavik centre (old town) on a noisy junction adjacent to an out-of-town shopping area. Good bus connections into town and BSI bus station. With no reception, the hotel has a somewhat impersonal feel to it. Our bed linen was not changed during our 5-night stay; towels only once. The continental breakfast was reasonably good: plenty of it but limited variation. Would we stay here again? Probably not.

This place is a gem. It was the perfect option for our trip, and we commented the whole time about how lucky we got choosing it. It was in the perfect location and super convenient to everything. We loved that it was a local, small hotel and had charm and personality and didn't feel like a cookie cutter chain hotel. All the staff were super helpful and friendly. We had a group of 4 friends and the "Biggest" room was exactly what we needed, with tons of space to spread out. Parking nearby at city hall was easy and pretty cheap with ample space in a garage. We didn't do the breakfast or the bar so can't speak to those, but lots of dining and shopping very close by.

Great respite in Reykjavík close to everything but quiet for a good night sleep after long days of seeing Iceland. Super clean, comfortable and well appointed.
