Birkenfeld Vacation Packages

This is a lovely property tucked a little bit off the highway and along a creek. The beds were very comfortable! The rooms were nicely decorated and spacious, our room looked out onto some beautiful trees and a long the creek . The building smell musty, perhaps that was related to some construction that was going on or repairs? There was an issue with the bathroom sink draining. I had to run the water for quite some time to get it warm. At that point the sink was half full water because it would not drain. That probably needs to be called to someone's attention . The other matter that I was surprised at for the rating this hotel had received, was that there were very tiny toilets, very low and outdated. Meaning they were not high profile, which is what is required for most of us seniors these days! Other than these issues, I would give the hotel a pretty good rating.

The cottages are nice and clean. The staff is friendly. Overall, they were accommodating.

Beautiful historic property! Staff was pleasant and helpful. Unfortunate that the town had a transformer blow and we were without power for our 2nd day (no generator). Missed out on the barrel saunas.
