Lovely hotel, nice breakfast, easy parking, friendly and attentive staff. Very convenient for Oxford and Bicester Village. Nearby village pleasant for walking around too.

This was such an amazing property , beautifully decorated Felt welcome as soon as we arrived , staff amazing and Lisa went above and beyond Fantastic breakfast. Beautiful gardens Would of welcome a leaflet on how to work coffee machine , spa bath !!! Would highly recommend staying . Thank you for making our stay special

The hotel is an impressive building and the room we had (No 6) was very nice. The food in the restaurant was extremely good. Whilst not a criticism, a hotel of this standard might offer fresh milk for tea in the room (either small room fridge or as a small flask at reception) as the long life pods are not nice and other quality hotels usually offer such a facility (as at he Prince of Burford, where we stayed on Sunday night). Overall a good experience and offers accessibility to many Cotswold and Oxon towns.

A beautifully furnished character hotel with superb cleanliness and staff. We had an evening meal which was probably more than we would normally pay, but it was excellent in all respects. The hotel cannot be blamed for inconsiderate guests. We had trouble sleeping due to what we assumed was a couple having a domestic problem which dragged on and on including repeatedly blowing a car horn in the early hours, speaking loudly and slamming doors.

This is a lovely hotel.It is how a hotel should be with lovely little touches in your room.Welcome card, biscuits, chocolate and both tea and a coffee machine in the room. Breakfast was really delicious.This was my second time here!!

Amazing (if a little pricey)
Stayed here as a couple in January for 1 night and experienced extremely friendly and professional service from start to finish. We booked a junior suite which had recently been renovated to a very high standard. Would have liked a mini bar or a fridge, but our room was only a short walk to the small but cosy bar area. Prices in the restaurant were on the high side, but the food (we both had beef) was amazing! Would definitely recommend to couples looking for a quiet relaxing break. We shall certainly be back.

We had great time, the hotel is beautiful especially if you like old buildings.The staff from the handyman to reception staff were attentive and helpful at all times.

The property is amazing. Luxury bedding and beds resulting in a very contented sleep. Staff All really friendly couldn't do enough for you. Evening meal very mediocre, blue cheese sauce not brought with steak had to wait along time for sauce by which time steak was cold needed reheating. No Chantilly cream with desert as on menu . Would I stay again yes but would I dine their no .

Staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Close to Bicester village if you want to go shopping or a base to go elsewhere. We stayed overnight so didn’t get to enjoy their dinner or see the grounds. Thank you for a memorable stay.

This was a stunner! The property was amazing. I felt really taken care of and the staff was perfect. We did have a supernatural encounter- expected as this property is heavy on history. All in all, perfection!

Friendly staff and easy check in. Were were given an upgrade which made our stay even more special. The room had excellent quality bedding, towels and bathrobe. The breakfast choice was very good. Would recommend and would stay here again

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Had an initial hiccup accessing the coach house, where our room was, but the staff were really helpful and friendly and resolved this very quickly. Room was a bit warm but requested a fan which helped. Electric vehicle charging, free to residents, was an added bonus.

One of the days they must of had a party in one of the rooms near mine, when i mentioned this the following morning that the noise was unacceptable, theynsaid they would move me today not taking into consideration the sleepless night i had already had. To be honest i expected a the money nack on the room they charged me to upgrade too

Warm room
Refined elegance permeates throughout from the hotel’s appearance to its staff. However the room was uncomfortably warm due to the heat immigrating from the bathroom into the bedroom. This resulted in us having to use a fan to keep the temperature at a tolerable region. Apparently this is a pervasive problem as another couple had the same complaint. Everything else was 5 stars but the primary purpose of a hotel is to get a good night’s sleep and this didn’t happen.

LUGAR MUY AGRADABLE QUE SE PUEDE MEJORAR
El hotel es muy bonito y se tiene una estancia muy agradable, sobre todo en el restaurante a la hora de cenar o desayunar. La habitación que nos dieron es amplia, pero sin aire acondicionado. Solo tenía un ventilador en una mesa donde no había enchufe. Además se accede a todo el hotel por escalera, y a nuestra habitación por un tramo final muy empinado y muy estrecho. El baño está bien pero es incomodo al no contar con sitio para colocar las toallas. Las mesillas de noche estaban ocupadas por la cafetera y los juegos de té a disposición del cliente, pero que hacía que quedara poco espacio para nuestras cosas.

Wonderful hotel stayed two nights cannot fault it, room lovely, quiet, bed really comfortable, staff were very friendly and helpful, dinner was great only quibble would be the bacon at breakfast it could have been cooked a bit more but thats probably down to personal taste, would stay there again and recommend this hotel
