Cheap price for a room for the night but the rooms are in quite poor repair and are in desperate need of refurbishment. There are areas of widespread damage on the walls especially in the bathroom and the shower drains incredibly slowly. The doors bang when they shut so if you have late returning neighbours that may wake you and while there is a chain on the door, there's not a double lock which I don't personally like. That all said, the bed was comfortable and the price was low. For the area you would struggle to get cheaper and it's under 20 minutes from Manchester Airport. There is a lot of free parking outside. Make sure you register your car on arrival to avoid a later fine.

Clean room and really close to Anfield stadium

What a delightful hotel - the staff were incredible, welcoming and helpful. We had an issue with our booking, which was no fault of the hotel, but they proposed a great solution, and were ever so accommodating. The hotel itself is great - quirky and original, fantastic "secret garden" lots of lovely little nooks and crannies to eat and drink, very comfortable and well appointed rooms and a great location. We also ate in the restaurant which was also very good. Can't recommend enough for your next stay in Chester.
