Beautiful Belfast Bay offers Harbor cruises, and Camden is only 30 min away where you can go whale watching, take a schooner ride, shop and dine. You may also wish to take a day trip to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Rockland or Castine. You can shop all day along the coast then retreat back to your cozy and quiet lodge on Swan Lake, one of the cleanest spring fed lakes in Maine!
Kids and adults will love playing, jumping and swimming in the lake. Campfires, s’mores, and fishing galore!

Absolutely Wonderful Experience, Again
This was our second time here. If you like relaxation, swimming, floating your worries away on a quiet lake, making s'mores, clean air and water. Then, you'll love staying in the spacious accommodations with modern conveniences including air conditioning, fridge, gas stove, tv (we didn't use this time, but did last time), and comfortable beds. The home is directly on the water and easy access for swimming. The neighbors are absolutely the best part. The owner and close relatives own several houses in close proximity and are very friendly and pleasant to talk to. There is a very nice fire pit which we used two days and a very nice gas grill that keeps even heat. I cooked chicken and corn one day and steaks the next day. I'm truly grateful that we were able to visit again and sad that it couldn't have been longer. There is an affordable grocery store 5 minutes away and Belfast, which is a charming small town and seaport, is about 15 minutes away with most major stores, restaurants, and shops. Bangor is about 40 minutes away. Boothbay harbor is about 90 minutes to the south. Bar harbor is about 75 minutes north. Portland Jetport is around 2 hours to the south. I highly recommend this gem for families with children, or for a quiet romantic getaway for couples.

Charming comfortable lakeside camp
The location is Swan Lake, a spring fed lake in Waldo County. It’s about 20 minutes from Belfast and maybe 45 to 60 minutes from Bangor and Waterford and 90 minutes from Boothbay Harbor and Bar Harbor. It's a few minutes away from Swanville which has a very nice full-service grocery. The house is down a small private drive through a wooded area next to several other lake homes owned by family. The ambience is peaceful and tranquil at night, very relaxing. During the day all ages of kids, adults, and grandparents are out on the lake swimming, boating, or relaxing on the shore. Our kids went swimming off the shore and played with the other kids all day one day. The house is extremely clean and well maintained. There is one bathroom with a shower/tub combo and a second changing room downstairs with a sink that could become a second or half in the future. There is a king sized bed downstairs which has a sliding glass door that looks out towards the lake. This large space downstairs can be used by kids to play in on a rainy day. Upstairs there is a kitchen with plenty of dishes and utensils. There is a gas stove, refrigerator, kitchen table. The upstairs is an open concept with a large flat screen tv and queen sleeper sofa next to the kitchen area. There is an area with windows overlooking the lake and a bedroom with a bunk bed. There is also a loft with a bed in it as well. Outside there is a large deck with a table and chairs and a new gas grill. We used the gas grill one evening to grill some steaks. Down near the water there is a fire pit which we also used one night for a fire and some smores. The kids also played with sparklers that came in an amazing welcome package. I could go on and one, but I’ll just say that our hosts, especially Blaine, were top-notch amazing people. The location can’t be beat for a country lake setting while being close to many attractions.
