Beauregard Town Historic District Vacation Packages

This is an excellent hotel downtown Baton Rouge that is missing out on an incredible opportunity. We stayed downtown for our 26th anniversary. I chose Orgin for the location, room and price. None of that disappointed. What was a HUGE disappointment was that I researched this property and planned our entire night around us sitting at their bar to enjoy their food and drinks. Whenever we arrived, we were sadly told that eventhough their website shows nightly specials and times for their bar, it is CLOSED DURING THE WEEK! They are only open Friday and Saturday evenings! The lady who checked us in was very apologetic and mentioned how the hotel really needs to update their website because this happens often. So now it makes sense why such an aesthetically pleasing, conveniently located hotel was empty. Their decor is special, especially for a Baron Rouge hotel. It is Louisiana themed with a strong emphasis on LSU. I would love to stay here again but their bar not being open is a huge let down and inconvenience. There is a wonderful outdoor terrace that is pointless without food and drinks. With that being said, the staff was pleasant. She gave us complimentary breakfast for our anniversary and the let down of the bar being closed. The location to 3rd street is perfect, just 1 block away. During the fall you could walk down the downtown Greenway which is a beautiful trail that connects the old governors mansion to the old state capital.
