An opportunity to rent one of the more beautiful and well equipped cottages on Prince Edward Island on short notice, we would otherwise have had to plan 6 months or more ahead of time I’m guessing. This cottage was cheerful and modern, clean and well equipped. The setting is nestled in the woods with a few to the water and a pretty steady breeze from one angle with shelter at another. Eagles, gannets, kingfishers, eiders and more frequent by. Stargazing is very good having seen shooting stars every night. Beaches and biking trails are nearby and beautiful. Convenient to local attractions, many good restaurants, and close to Charlottetown and Summerside. Cottage had everything I needed for a relaxing week. We would stay again in a heart beat. Such a good night’s sleep at this cottage! First the sunset, then the night sky, and then the absolute stillness. Loved waking up here, as well, and having coffee on the deck, listening to the birds. My husband and I stayed at this cottage while our children and grandchildren stayed at another house (same owner) down the road just a little. What a wonderful arrangement it turned out to be! It is exactly as pictured with beautiful water views and incredible sunsets. It was immaculate, probably the cleanest cottage we have ever stayed in. There are several points to access the water from within the subdivision, but the cottage itself is on a cliff. The area is very private, yet still centrally located, only 5 minutes from Cavendish. Check-in went very smoothly and Miriam was sure to check in on us throughout the stay to make sure everything was going well and to provide us with information and suggestions. The cottage was stocked with everything we could possibly need, and even included a lovely welcome gift. We enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It is newly renovated, bright and airy with a great deck and yard area. It was clean and tidy, and the owners were great communicators if needed.
