"We had a nice trip overall, but to give our opinion my wife and I would rate this hotel at a solid 7.8 While it is a nice nostalgic old hotel there were a few things we were not thrilled about. We feel you should not put older guests on the second floor of The Palace side. There is no elevator and the stairs are quite difficult for us to haul our luggage up and down. We were not offered assistance. We both got real tired of navigating the stairs. I also ended up fixing the running toilet on my own as the maintenance staff was gone for the day after we checked in. The breakfast is similar to other 2-3 star hotels. (Quite average). The location is great and walkable to restaurants and shopping. The trains nearby are nostalgic. We are not quite sure the pricing for three nights was worth the convenience of the location."

"Staff were helpful and responsive to requests. The room amenities were better than expected: hairdryer, iron/board, microwave, small fridge, TV, coffee pot & supplies. The room was clean and nicely decorated - I would have the coverlet on my own bed, it was so attractive and modern. Bathroom was clean and well stocked with good quality white towels, although it showed some signs of age-buildup around the skirting and bath tub. I didn't use breakfast, but the offerings looked to cover all tastes and diets. I would recommend this hotel, it was excellent value for money."

"Our stay at The Springs Resort had some positives, but overall there were several disappointing aspects. The older units felt very outdated. One of the biggest issues was the hot water in the shower. Most of the time there was no hot water at all, and when it did come through, it was scalding hot and only lasted for a minute or two. We ended up showering at the spa instead. The bed was also extremely uncomfortable, which made it hard to fully relax during the stay. Food was another letdown. It was very expensive and did not match the quality. Breakfast options were very limited, and much of the food felt like reheated cafeteria-style food. It was also odd that the main restaurant did not serve breakfast. Dinner certainly was not fine dining, even though the prices suggested otherwise. The restaurant hours also did not make much sense, although that may partly reflect how early the town seems to shut down. That said, the staff were all very nice and accommodating, which we appreciated. The wellness activities were enjoyable, and the spa services were fantastic, though again, overpriced. We would consider making the trip from Orlando again, but would hope to see improvements in the food and dining options in the future."

"Overall a great stay. Clean room, friendly staff, and convenient location. I had my small dog with me and the hotel felt pet friendly. Across the street from a nice walking path by the river. A bit disappointed that breakfast didn’t start until 7 as we were in town for a volleyball tournament and had to leave the hotel before then both days. I would stay here again"
