We stayed here for 4 nights, the check in process of having to use a manual key is not easy. Every time you leave you have to put it back in the lock box. If I’m paying this much for a place it needs to be updated technology wise to make it easier. Also we need more fans for during the day when it’s hotter. The view is amazing and our family had a great time! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again. My family stayed at this home during our annual summer off-roading trip to the Alpine Loop. This house stunning! It sits above a lake and is tucked into the woods. Even though the lake was not completely full (as the dam undergoes repairs), it was still amazing! The views from the deck were just perfect. The house is in a neighborhood that has dirt roads, but the driveway to the house is paved. Even though we did get one of our trucks with a trailer up the driveway, it really is not designed for a truck towing a trailer. This was not an issue as it was actually easier to find a place to park the trailers in Silverton, close to where we were spending our days. This was by far the nicest, most beautiful house we have ever stayed at. Simply amazing! ##### Stacey S. I should have made it the last stop instead of the first. There’s no topping it. We are in love with this house and Durango. The view is breathtaking, and the home is warm and cozy. I would not change a single thing about this place. The appliances are dated but I think they add character. Don’t change them. Allowing us to stay here and make memories was a gift to us and we are forever grateful. We will absolutely come back as long as the property is available. Maybe for our anniversary? Thank you.
