"Top quality B&B with historical undertones"
A B&B in a good location, about a 10-minute level walk from the Abbey, with the advantage of residents' parking for an extra daily fee. The owners have not skimped on quality - from the very smart décor to the luxury toilet-paper! The property has a sunny, courtyard garden, and the owner provided tea outside on our arrival, which was a lovely touch. The room was full of period furniture - a little too full for my personal taste, and although the owner assured us that we were welcome to make full use of everything, I felt a little inhibited from doing so, as the contents looked rather valuable. I found the property a little pricey for a B&B, but this is not unusual in Bath. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property to our friends.

"Wonderful hotel near Bath"
I only stayed here for one night, but I wish it had been 10x that! It's around 30 minutes on the bus to reach this hotel, but the bus stops right outside. Rowena and Mike both greeted us when we checked in, and we were taken over to our room without any delay (we were also given a bigger room than we had requested without an extra charge). This was followed by a visit to the pub just across the road and a great sleep in a super comfortable bed. Wifi is available throughout the hotel, but you may be too busy taking in the setting to actually use it. Breakfast was served partially in the games room, with a large selection of cereal, fruit, toast with jam/honey, pastries, meat and cheese, juice, tea and coffee. Upon sitting down, we were also given a menu with the hot breakfast items that were available at no charge and were prepared by Mike. Overall, this was a lovely hotel to stay at, and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the Bath area.

"Characterful and charming hotel"
Typical Bath-style building - signage could have been better as we drove past once before locating it ! Staff were very attentive and room service quick and efficient. Slight issue with room temperature - difficult to get right with no air conditioning but generally ok - lovely view of rear gardens from bedroom window. Breakfast comprehensive but typically expensive ; Michelin starred restaurant was excellent quality for our evening meal

"Wonderful! "
The hotel is easy to find and a short 10-15minite walk from the train station. The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble! We stayed the newly renovated Empire room. They room was spacious and very clean with a modern bathroom. The view is of the abbey and the rugby stadium which pleased my fiancé! There is a lovely small garden out the back that you can take drinks from the bar into. Overall a fantastic hotel in a fantastic location. Would thoroughly recommend!

"Lovely hotel and staff"
We stayed in a double room and everything was perfect; the room, hotel and staff included. We were welcomed straight away, everything was explained on arrival and the valet service was very helpful, probably the nicest hotel experience I've had and we would definitely return when we come back to bath. Thank you again for a lovely stay!

"Stunning"
A hotel right in the middle of the most stunning example of Georgian architecture. The Royal Crescent could not fail to impress. The staff were first class, polite and knowledgeable without being in any way sycophantic. The food was first class, great breakfast which was made even better by the presence in the dining room of Steve Backshall with his fiancé Helen Glover. What was even better was that the sun came out. A fabulous stay.

"Week day break"
Hotel wasn't hugely busy, after making a request for a quiet room the request was met, friendly staff from the moment i arrived. odd smell in higher floors of manor but not a huge problem, probably just a smelly guest in another room. Staff, location and facilities on offer are top notch! Gym could do with a bit more work but its nearly there
