The accommodations were clean but on the small side. There is no daily cleaning service in the rooms but you can request clean towels. The General Store was not well stocked. The website contains inaccurate or out of date information. Mac's Kitchen restaurant and bar were a highlight. Both the food and the service were good.

Unique and fun property with a 1960's design - both exterior and interior. It even included a 1960's pink princess telephone. But the motel had the comforts of 2026 with a jumbo size TV, comfortable bed and pillows and large bathroom. Each room had a record player with records. I was excited to spin some 33's but both the record player in my room and a second I secured from the lobby were broken. The staff said they were not familiar with how they worked and could not offer any assistance. Bummer! Parking is a block away at a public garage. The hotel offers an in and out garage pass for $20. Garage is somewhat rough around the edges. A number of restaurants beginning in the adjacent block. Even with a few disappointments, I would definitely return again.

The Virginia Guesthouse is a new hotel and conference center, right next to the University of Virginia. The staff were very friendly and helpful! Including providing a late checkout at 12 instead of 11, and holding our bags in their luggage check while we were still in town for the afternoon after checkout. The rooms are nicely designed and being brand new are perfectly clean. Throughout the hotel, there are lots of spaces designed in, such as gathering areas and libraries. The hotel is well appointed and fun. The gym is incredible. There are water bottle, filling stations in the gym and in the hall. Tip: Note that you’ll park in the garage and then you’ll need to exit the garage and enter the front of the hotel. For check-in and check out I recommend parking directly in front of the hotel in the drop off circle as it will be easier for your luggage.

Elevator didnt work, No coffee maker, No hair dryer, No conditioner, just shampoo and soap. Has many surfaces in hallway taped off and patched up for painting, Strange smell in hallways, Carpet in hallways need vacuuming, Floors in room seems a little grimey. Breakfast was basically coffee I was not able to drink, breakfast bars and packs of instant oatmeal and grits, so I went to get coffee elsewhere. Comfortable and clean otherwise.
