The room was clean, everything worked - wifi, fridge etc. We did not use the washer/drier. The sheets were clean, the bed was comfy. The only thing! If you are a light sleeper, bring some ear plugs. The night life of Auckland can get a little rowdy! ##### David G. Séjour de 4 nuits en mars 2023 ### 2/10 – Terrible #### George 3 mars 2023 Points forts : Propreté We arrived at the apartment building on Friday evening and were shocked to see a notice in the lobby saying "Both lifts shut down until further notice". We had two suitcases each weighing 22.5 kg and two bags each weighing 7.0 kg. We had to haul this luggage up to the 5th floor each level being 22 steps. It was very exhausting. My wife wasn't able to do this more than twice so I had to buy takeaway food for her for all of Saturday. We missed out on seeing the city sights on Saturday and we flew out on Sunday morning. I feel that the host was aware of the lifts being out of service and should have informed us to give us the option to cancel which I would most certainly have done. In later correspondence to her by email she was very condescending by suggesting that hotels might be more suitable for us in future bookings. The apartment itself was ok but there is a four digit mechanical code lock on the door which sometimes doesn't work so it's possible to be locked out of your room. The location is good but there are noisy people on the street below all through the night. So if you like to wake up feeling refreshed after a good nights sleep then forget it as it won't happen. Basic apartment has all you need for a short stay. It is loud at night but that is something that can't be helped and have to dodge the homeless loitering in the entrance way also something you can't control.
