"Date of trip: January 4th-12th: This is our first time vacating in Dominican Republic. Barcelo Bavaro Palace has left a very good impression on us. From the moment we came in, we were greeted with a clean spacious room with a ocean view and tub on the balcony. Hotel territory was also gorgeous, two huge swimming pools, 3-4 pool bars and many entertainment options ( valleyball, aerobics, darts, dancing, paddling, soccer etc.). Hotel has lots of greenery, beautiful palms everywhere, bushes and well thought landscape. It also has a large shopping area for those who needs to buy gifts or clothing, electronics, cigars etc for themselves. Restaurant is also very very nice. We stayed to 8 days, and every day for a week they changed the cuisine which is rare in many hotels. The only disappointment is they never change their desserts options and it’s not very wide range, but who needs them when you have fresh ripe fruits available! We highly recommend visiting Japanese and Mexican restaurants. Beach is only a few steps away from the building itself. An army of staff cleans seaweed every day on the sunrise to insure people have a clean and beautiful view in the morning. Ocean was also relatively clean, some seaweed, but it doesn’t bother at all. Water was very warm, sometimes warmer than swimming pool water. Overall, we had an amazing time at the hotel, we would definitely come back again to Barcelo Bavaro Palace. "
