They had a small kitchenette, shower, small table and of course the bed. The TV was ridiculous sitting on a low table at the foot of the bed so you could not watch it. They advertised 'free parking' and when we arrived there was a car already in the driveway and we had to park in the street in a limited 2 hour zone. After calling one of the owners the car was moved and we could park there however it is a tandem space and would be difficult if the other unit had a car as well. Other than that there is street parking and if you are lucky you can get an all day spot but they are limited so really to advertise 'free parking' is not quite right. We stayed two nights and I expected the room to be serviced however when asking the owner who happened to be outside supervising digging up the concrete outside our unit (thats another story) she seemed rather vague and said the cleaner would be there tomorrow, however she did say she would make the bed etc. and she was true to her word and tidied the unit but I should not have had to ask. This place's location is perfect for the ferry and local town. Prue, the owner, is very accommodating without all the unnecessary fuss. Great chalet type accomodation hidden away, with nice little seating area outside the room. Room was very clean and tidy, a home from home. I stay away a lot with my job, all over the North Island, and I can honestly say that this was the most safe I've felt in all the places I've stayed. Would defo stay here again and again!
