« We went for a 3 day weekend to run a trail race in Grayson Highlands state park. The house was a 30 minute drive from the park. Beautiful drive to the house and the park. We enjoyed resting at the house before and after our time at the park. The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The property was lovely and we enjoyed walking the property and sitting outside reading. »

« Back to basics with enough modern essentials for a relaxing, rejuvenating time. Beautiful spot surrounded by trees and the soothing sound of running water from the creek. Spending time in the rocking chairs on the back porch just soaking in nature was fabulous and tranquil. Saw a fox, a deer, and a turtle... no bear sighting, which was fine by me! Had all windows open throughout the visit. Comfy bed, too! Will stay again!! »

« Comfortable little country home with a great hot tub. Nature views, animals coming through the back yard are always pleasing. We usually come in the fall, but it was great as well in the Spring. We bike the New River trail and look forward to coming “home” and relaxing afterwards. The outdoor furnishings need some work and windows and shades need some extra cleaning attention. That view from the expansive windows is a real eye-pleaser! We added an extra day to our stay. »

« Yes, it was a little out of the ordinary, but that's a good thing! Easiest "camping" experience you'll ever have. Your own private (new, flush) commode, kitchen, and huge shower! A/c and heat in the camper. What more could you want? Definitely an adventure in the hills of eastern Virginia. »

« Pictures don't do this place justice. Super well taken care of home in the middle of gods country. If you need a place to escape this is it. The home has any extras you might be missing. They have thought of everything. The house and beds are very comfortable. I wish every place I stayed was this nice. Allison the host is really accommodating.she obviously nows how to treat visitors right.I already can't wait for my next visit.Thanks again »

« Had a lovely time. House is great and beautifully furnished. Enjoyed all the rooms. Some suggestions: 1. the bunk bed room was freezing cold, might want to add a heat source 2. You should advertise that there are two refrigerators in the kitchen. We loved that, but we all brought large coolers for beverages and they weren’t needed. 3. Problem in the upstairs bathroom, the sink did not drain properly. May want to look at that immediately. 4. Those who used that upstairs bath suggested...
