"I was leery to stay here after reading the reviews. I decided to go w/the majority of the reviews and I'm glad I did! The area is a great area & close to alot. The grounds are beautiful! I chose the area based on location & the fact it had a kitchenette. I took a few dishes & a skillet, etc. I did take a hot plate just in case. I didn’t ask at the desk if they had any dishes, utensils, etc. They very well may have. That said, the stove top did work. There is a timer on the wall to keep the stove from being left on & forgotten. Ours was located behind the countertop microwave. I tried the stove top before discovering the timer, & of course it did not work. I brought out the hot plate for breakfast. While cleaning up from that, I discovered the timer. Lo & behold, the stove top worked! As for the negative reviews, we didn’t experience any of it. No smells (hubby has the nose of a beagle), hallways were clean, room appeared to have been newly painted. Room was spotless as was the bathroom. The room was the quietest we have stayed in in quite awhile. If I had anything negative to say at all, it would be there was no tissue box in the bathroom & the pillows were not very fluffy. Tjps: Bring a hairdryer & shampoo. Again, they could have these - we didn't ask. We have found hairdryers are missing at the more economical motels. These complaints must come from people who expect The Ritz on a beer budget or they are trolls who leave negative reviews for their competitors. AAA "

"I was very pleased with every aspect of my 4-night stay here! The room was very clean and in very good condition. All of the fixtures worked, there was plenty of hot water and good water pressure, the bed was comfortable, the room was dark at night and the place was quiet. The front-desk service was very friendly, the breakfast was fine and the breakfast area was clean and well-stocked. I think this is a family-run property, and they are clearly doing an excellent job!! And then, considering the reasonable price, this was an excellent value that just can't be beat! I would gladly stay here again if I return to this area!"
