« Peterson Mill is a unique and special property. My husband and I and our toy poodle felt right at home. The location in Saugatuck is perfect. The property is near downtown and walkable without feeling crowded and is immediately adjacent to boat docks and a nice restaurant. Our little dog enjoyed the treats and the ball, which were kindly supplied by the owner. The property is next to a pond and a pretty little stream that once supplied the power for the mill. « We booked this rental last minute for our daughters’ birthday weekend with friends, and it turned out to be perfect. The home was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The setting is absolutely beautiful. peaceful and scenic, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The girls had a wonderful time celebrating, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend the weekend. Highly recommend! »

« We stayed at this unique property for a family vacation, and our experience was amazing! We especially loved the two separate indoor hangout spaces, which were stocked with lots of games, a pool table, and air hockey. The easy access to the lake—with a paddle boat, two paddle boards, and life jackets—was a big plus.The views from the decks were beautiful and peaceful, and we enjoyed playing games and relaxing while watching the kids have fun in the water. « From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the woodsy surroundings. Even though it is close to the beach and to the towns of Douglas and Saugatuck, you feel far from everything hidden away in the trees. Our favorite part was the wrap-around screened porch. I spent my mornings reading on the porch swing and listening to the birdsong. »

« This little hidden gem was perfect for my husband and I. Keep in mind it is an old school, semi-rustic cabin with the necessities to make the stay more than comfortable. (We are all about the older, historic feel of places) But the surrounding outdoors…INCREDIBLE!!! We had the views and sounds of Lake Michigan from the porch and living room, deer in the yard, almost ZERO TRAFFIC down the road. Just so quiet and peaceful and wonderful. We enjoyed so much that we booked our Spring trip for there...

« If you're looking for a quiet place to relax, this is it. The porch is 15 steps away from the waters edge and the view is lovely. The lake was not crowded by boats, mostly quiet pontoons. This cabin is situated at the end of a short road, so there is zero traffic to hear. The cabin has plenty of seating for hanging out or reading. A decent sized dining table and all the necessary tools for cooking and dining. Only a quick 20 minute drive to South Haven for restaurants and shopping. And there are...

« This is a beautiful, peaceful location. A quick drive into town if you want to eat out, but a great escape if you're seeking tranquility. The view of the wetlands and the wildlife were our favorite things about it. The beds are great, and with all the windows open in the 2nd bedroom, it's almost like sleeping outdoors. Our only complaint was the overpowering liquid "air freshener" pod placed in the cottage. Unnecessary, and as someone sensitive to perfumes, this was almost gag-inducing. We...
