Really couldn’t fault this place, the communication I got from staff from beginning to end was exceptional. Had kettle in room, and a mini fridge, outside of room in the hallway is communal coffee machine and microwave. Hairdryer, shampoo and shower gel also provided. Downstairs in the basement was laundry facilities also. We arrived before our room was ready, and was able to store our bags in a locker in a room of reception. Our room was clean and suitably furnished. My only downside was I had requested a quiet room with a nice view as it was my daughter‘s birthday, and we were on a low floor right above five guys with a view of the road below us which was fairly noisy. I have still rated it a five star, I would definitely recommend it and I would stay again if I was in the area.

I booked well in advance of my stay. The hotel then undertook some major renovation work that was not publicised at the time of my booking. I found out by accident a week before I was due to go. I contacted expedia who contacted the hotel. They just said tough you didn't book a refunable rate. When you book something that includes exclusive areas if you can't offer them, for whaterver reason, you need to inform your guests and give them options. This was such poor customer service. As for the hotel itself there is major renovation going on. The staff were very good. It appeared there were only two elevators for the whole hotel there were long waits for these. I'm not sure the room I had would actually be part of the level if it was where is the seperation of the rooms in the hotel ? The exclusive level pool is currently a building site. The lounge is moved to a room downstairs nothing like the promised lounge. Although I thought the staff in there were excellent. Overall I definately wouldn't go to the level during the work and won't return to the hotel due to the total lack of information about the renovation prior and major lack of customer care.

My stay at Luces de Catedral was satisfactory. The location is perfect, walkable to all the attractions of town and great viarity of good resturant/bars/cafes, and it is very accesible for uber as well. We payed an extra fee for breakfast and thought it was very worth it. If you include breakfast the cafe is right next door, they offer an specific menu with 3 different options which you can choose from, from a light breakfast to fuller breakfast option. The food was really good and the service is quick. The Staff was very helpful and kind, Alex who was at the front desk when we arrived to drop our luggage off hours before checking in and gave us a map of the town and highlighted for us all the POIs which was extremely helpful. If you are looking for a great culinary experience and also great food highly recommend visiting the restaurant Voltereta a Tanzania and make sure you have a reservation, it was a lovely experience and delicious food for a fair price. If you are looking to see Flamenco dance performance, check Blacky bar, they dont have a lot of options in food and drinks but the flamenco shows are absolutely worth it.

Great hotel with lovely staff

The free breakfast was nice. The no lift situation was not great but I can deal with it. What isn’t cool is the property advertised as free parking when there isn’t any parking at all. IF (and it’s a big IF) you can find street parking, that’s free in some areas depending on the painted color on the street. The receptionist said we could park at the pay facility down the street but with no in and out privileges, it’s not really a good option. If you don’t have a car to park, the place is great. A nice bonus was the fridge in the room along with the kettle and tea/coffee offerings.
